Vegemite *barfs* worse tasting stuff in the world. Does it taste that bad? Here the daughter of the family where I'm staying brought some from Australia and they tried to convince me to try it but I didn't. I've seen on TV ("I bet you will", MTV) that they pay people to eat that stuff.

Since one of the ongoing sub-conversations of this thread is weird things going on with the board, has anyone ever had this happen to them?

Yes. Die, metric. Die... Vegemite, Vegemite... Heh. I have never had it but it doesn't sound good.. What's in it? My latest ept peeve: Miss-interpreting how long it will take you to perform a task, thus making yourself late for a meeting with someone who left before you got there... And I think the world would ba a happier place if we all amde Sam our pet peeve/stabbing pillow and took all the aggressions out on him.

Can I rant for a sec? This next one is a huge, enormous pet peeve of mine, so huge that I think it's stopped being a pet peeve and has swollen to the size of some wild animal peeve. It also might sound like whining but I'm going to try and keep myself from doing that (too much). So you all know I'm a creative person. I write and I draw and stuff, but for the love of Yehovah I can't get substantial feedback on anything that I do. It happens everywhere, like I'm being blackballed from every mass organization of (admittedly amateur) artists and writers by some insane huge invisible force. I have no idea why it happens. I get pretty much minimal reviews or comments from DeviantArt, fanfiction.net, and even usually from 667's fanart/fic sections. The fanfic one I can understand, but to put my anger in perspective even though I'm going back a few weeks, threads like this and this get twelve and fourteen comments respectively while this got TWO. And they were from neggy and Peaches who are like my closest 667 friends. Admittedly one piece was a junk art, but I had a good cel-shaded one to make up for that. And that piece took a WHILE, too. My fanfics are more understandable because I don't write the most accessible things. Hell, my "best" fanfic so far has a couple fans and it's about a thirteen-year-old AU Sunny Baudelaire killing the troupe and various other people in a roaring rampage of revenge. That's not something people can really take lightly, but I'm at least glad people think it's fun. And most of what I write besides that is reflection or slash, the latter of which goes without saying and the former of which can come off as OOC. (Interesting/weird note--people seem to like Violaf so damn much that I'm STILL getting ff.net reviews for Vice Versa, which is I think my second oldest fanfic. I reread it and I don't even like it anymore, it seems stilted to me. I'd much rather keep getting reviews for stuff like Dawn over Dawn and Dark into Dark, which I think is one of my best fics to date, or stuff like Avanti Grind House, which IS my best fic to date. I can't believe that only has four reviews on ff.net, two of which are from the same person.) Tangent: you have to give the people at 667 credit, though, for not lapsing into my least favorite behavior: flaming something because it's slash/got a weird coupling in it. I don't think that's EVER happened to me here, and I appreciate that a lot. But even if what I write and what I draw isn't what everyone else usually has a burning need to see--like Duncan/Violet/Quigley ANYTHING for example--I think that what I do is of high quality, and if people like it, which I have a feeling that they do, I'd love to hear what they have to say. It keeps me motivated, you know. I'm finished. I hope that wasn't too annoying. I'm done now. [DISCLAIMER: I'm not saying that I only get three comments on everything I do. Sometimes I do have a lot, which makes me enormously happy, but that's the exception rather than the rule. And I'm not really begging, just venting.]
