Do any of you like it? I had never heard of it before our school did it and now I'm hooked. Go Thenardiér! Well, does anyone like it?

By Hobo, I think you mean Beggar or if it's a solo, Urchin.

Les as in Les Murray, the soccer commentator(or the poet) or Les Patterson, one of Barry(Dame Edna) Humphrys creations...

I'm in it as Chorus and one of Thenadiér's gang. In one scene, I get to be a corpse!

I'm going to be Javert! I wish...
I'm a huge obsessive. I love Javert. What a great guy... Who could hate a villain with sideburns, a top hat, a frock coat, a bludgeoning stick, an obsessive stalking complex and an incredible suicidal transformation at the end? ;D

Klaus, which version of the movie did you see? Actually, it was a book first, then some movies, then a musical, then more movies (at least one of which was completely evil). Also in there somewhere was a sequel written by someone who apparently didn't know what LM was really about... they messed up characters personalities, rewrote the barricade scene and past (apparently they didn't think Victor Hugo did a good enough job on his own story), and turned it into a smutty romance novel. I myself could not get past the second chapter. Anyways... Javert is my favorite, too. I hate when the movies portray him as 'evil,' because he's really not. He just sees the world in a different way from most people (which is understandable, considering the circumstances under which he was born). I'm probably saying stuff that will make no sense. Anyways, I think the Tenth Anniversary Concert has the best cast, if you want to hear the album. The Complete Symphonic Recording is the best story-wise, though, as it has everything, the TAC leaves stuff out (and the school edition even more than that). If you want to discuss LM with more fans, a good place is the forum at www.lesmis.com. New people are always welcome!

Klaus, which version of the movie did you see? I saw the one that came out in 1998. With Geoffrey Rush as Javert and Liam Neeson as Jean Valjean...I thought it was a awesome movie. It's amazing how the bishops forgiveness of Jean Valjean wrongdoing and how it affects his life and totally turns it around. Just insanely awesome. I've been trying to get around to reading the book, but I just never have. Also I've heard the versions of the movie are better than the one I saw.
