Forgive me for my ignorance but how do you pronounce "BAUDELAIRE"?
Is it .. boo-deh-lair, bow-deh-lay, bow-deh-lair or boo-deh-lay?

Charles Baudelaire's name was pronounced Bow-dih-LAIR, so I'm pretty sure that's the way it's pronounced.

well, they pronounce it bow-da-lare on the audio tapes, don't they? i thought that klaus' name was pronounced claus, as in santa claus. and then i heard the tapes and it all made sense.

Yes, Klaus is pronounced like mouse with a K. It's French I think. It isn't the best name but it's ok. Did you know that Gunther the actioneer (Count Olaf) is pronounced: "Goon-ter" ?

Baudalaire is French i saw it 2day in a French book..i might take French next year..i'll be in high school!

There are lots of interesting things to be learned from being a book aholic. For instance... "Claus Von Bulow" (or something...) was accused of murdering his wife Sunny for her fortune! Violet was the name of one of the lawyers at the trial! I thought that was pretty cool... French Rocks!
