I liked your message, swans. Mine:
Dear Readers
After you have eaten your blanched dinner of puttanesca, anchovies, capers and Molotov cocktails please case(ing) the joint, posthaste.
With all due respect,
Lemony Snicket
ps: Lamentably deplorable!

I tried to do that, once. I thought maybe it was something like Isadora's couplets in TVV. It doesn't seem to be, though.

I have books 9, 10, and TUA. Maybe we could collaborate?
Also, Sunny's words become a LOT clearer in TSS. I think that if they (the words) were meant to convey something, that something was extra dialogue (and some plot in TSS as well).
Has anyone tried looking for initials?

I think Sunny's clearer talking is a sign that she's growing up, not a message. Who knows?

I also noticed that Lemony didn't define words that often later on in the books, especially TSS than for instance TBB Maybe theres a code like the Sebald code, every tenth word, or the last letter of each word or something like that

The Sebald code is every eleventh word after the ringing of a bell. And maybe he just ran out of big words to use so he didnt have any to define in the later books.

I think that Lemony defines words mainly for the sake of satire. A while ago I read a children's book from the 1940s, and it defined "difficult" words like "indelible" and "velveteen". Lemony's making fun of the patronizingly educational children's authors of yore. However, I enjoy looking for a good coded message, and vocab words are an intriguing place to start.

I dont think theres a code, cauze that would take A LONG time to do.
But hey, you never know.

I just wanted you to make a note of that, because I'm proud of my discovery. And I was linking to my thread because it's related to this topic. You also should lighten up.
