There are most definately many other members who have found this out, but I have never seen it, so I decided to post it. I was so...not amazed, it's quite typical of Snicket to do this, I guess intrigued would be the right word. Anyway, here it is: Hotel Denouement The definition of denouement is as follows: 1.a. The final resoulution of a dramatic or narrative plot. b. The events following the climax of a drama or novel in which such resolution takes place. 2. The outcome of a sequence of events; the end result. Also, in part 2 of the definition, read the sentence replacing 'sequence' with 'series'. Scary, huh?

I noticed it. It's because Hotel Denouement pops up at the end of the series but I still believe that the resolution is at Briny Beach. I know a few more interesting tidbits about the hotel: 1) Olaf DOES NOT BURN IT DOWN! Lemony is writing the books years after and tells his sister to meet him so it doesn't burn down(at least in the series) 2) From the notes at BBRE I deduced that the rickety trolley fell apart and that its remnants were recycled into the hotel's foundation. 3) Also from said notes I deduced that a bench from the royal gardens that count olaf once sat on was removed before the gardens burnt down and put into Denouement Hotel. Interesting huh?

Look at the top of your post. Now look to the right. See those extra buttons? One says "delete". :) And now you know.
What's the hint?

Yes, yes I saw the delete. In the notes it tells of certain objects and mentions them going into a hotel I thought Hotel Denouement.

I think the resolution will be at Briny Beach because he mentions that they return there for book the 13th, and that's when the resolution happens.

ahem:"I am going to meet with one of the FFP(Female Finish Pirates) to ask her if the baudelaires came in contact with one of them on their way to Briny Beach for the third time. Interested parties might turn to book the thirteenth assuming I live long enough to write such a book" bbre notes.

I think that Hotel Denuncement ill hold the final events of the series, but i do not boubt that much resolution will come from the third and possible visit to Briny beach, it would be like Snicket to write a round story, finishing and ending in the same spot, but he wouldnt have Hotel Denouncement not be an end, its meaning is resolution, Snicket writes with meaning, so it must be so.

Of course it will finish and end at the same place seeing as those two mean the same thing! But let's not forget about their second visit to Briny Beach in which Violet possibly picks up the same stone she did the first time. Theory anyone?
