It's cruel to make fun of Newbies, for was not each one of us once a newbie? How would you feel if everyone was mocking you for how you typed? It's like making fun of people's accents or facial features or, I don't know, choice of hair products.

I'm not making fun of newbies (since we have very few bad newbies and a lot of good ones), I'm making fun of obnoxious users who don't use the Search function or check any page other than the first on any forum they use. And/or end every sentence with "lol." And you can't help your accents or facial features; it's not that hard to type normally. I have to make a CONSCIOUS EFFORT to do otherwise. |

Look newbies may not know that the search button tells you where to go. I only just learned that and I have been here since last September.

Look newbies may not know that the search button tells you where to go. Well, I think it's fairly safe to assume that the majority of new members will, as a matter of fact, know from prior knowledge that the Search button will function the same way as a search engine, which is to say that it allows you to search for previously discussed topics! And if they DIDN'T, they could just go to the help guide!In short: the only people who should be taking offense at this thread deserve it, because there's no excuse for not making an effort to look around for previously mentioned topics. |

Personally I doubt that Beatrice is the Baudelaire's mom but I guess it could be possible. The stupid typin is annoying. If your going to keep bringing up the Beatrice Theory why doesn't someone just start a special section so it won't be spamming the message boards.
