look on page 79 of LSUA and it says that is is going to marrie the lead actress so esme takes her place and he says she can not play mozarts 14th symphony but beatrice (the lead actress) can. now go to page 27 in tww and klaus will say our mum could do that her specialty was mozarts 14th symphony. so beatrice is definatly there mum

...If I recall correctly, the name of the theater the play is performed in is an anagram of "Red Herring." So, it's possible that Lemony put it there just to make us think that Beatrice is the Baudelaire's mom, but it's really a fake clue.
