I know this is pretty stupid but when Olaf was disguised as Gunther did he actually speak with an accent? 'Cause he just said please over and over. He probably picked it up from Lulu as a disguise, but if he wanted to fool everyone, rather than just say please like a maniac, he could have disguised his actual voice I mean, I know it's Olaf and all, he's not exactly the brightest star in the universe but just a thought
Orphans shouldn't be afraid of their guardians. Guardians should be afraid of their orphans.

He definitely faked an accent, too. It doesn't say so in TEE, but in TCC, p. 26:
...answered a woman in an accent the children recognized.... Olaf had disguised himself as a person who did not speak English well, and as part of his disguise, had had spoken in an accent very similar to the one they were hearing now.

I've always imagined Gunther's accent to be similar to Dana Carvey's in his movie "The Master of Disguise", that, or good ol' Indian. Of course, since "Gunther" is Germanic in origin, the accent might be German.
I think it's for the reader to decide what Olaf's accent was, you know, to amuse himself (the reader, I mean).
