yes, i totally agree with Isadora23. Although, when i read the books i imagine the characters with British accents, maybe that's because i am british... but when they release the ASOUE movie they have an American cast so the accents will probably be American.
But, LS did spend time in Britain writing the books so maybe..... well, i dont know lol!

Actually, the girl playing Violet is Australian. Billy Connolly (Uncle Monty) is Scottish, and Jude Law (Lemony) and Timothy Spall (Mr Poe) are English. My guess is that they'll all be speaking with American accents in the films. The filming is going on in Wilmington, NC, Boston and LA. So I bet as far as the movies are concerned, the city will look like Boston, outside the city will look like Wilmington, and the indoor areas will look like soundstages in LA.

yeah, most of the cast are american and it will be filmed in the USA so the accents will most certainly be American. That's a shame, i alwats imagined them being English *sighs*

They have to be in America. I think they could be british, older times because of their clothes, yet it says in number four that Klaus and Violet lost the parents and a computer technician helped them find them. Well, how could it be older if a computer guy is there? Also the clothes make no sense!!

yeah, They do use words that here in England we would not use. But, they do dress like they are from the early 1920's, but they have telephones ect. It is very confusing
