I agree with you that the visual style of the trailer is just great, even if not perfectly consitent with what we obsessed fans expect. The sets and costumes are nice, but Klaus's outfit does look wrong and too modern. I liked your "lovable terrier" example; it helped put things in perspective. It's good that Sunny hasn't become a lovable terrier, but it's funny to think about.

Sigh. This is going to get very old before December comes around, I can tell. -Violet's hair is in braids on one side only. Let me assure you that she can still tie it up, and will. OlafsAssociate's insider passed that information along last week. -As for Sunny, you try getting an infant to cooperate in a film, let alone be a major character. It's live action not a cartoon, and compromises have to be made. -Jim Carrey is not going to wreck the film. He is only doing what the script tells him to, so blame that if you feel the need to point fingers. He isn't just doing what the script says. I read an article where he said he did more improv. in this movie than any others. And i know it is hard to get the baby to cooperate, but she seems too old because she shouldn't even have hair. Besides, if one baby doesn't cooperate, the twin will! I agree with the glasses situation and even though the hair is only braded on one side, it still doesn't feel right to me. I'm sure others agree. Also, Violet looks quite a bit younger than Klaus, not only in height but size as well. I hate to say that this movie, although good, won't live up to be like the books. I do like Aunt Josephine though. She seems like the character.
