Okay, I must make a change to my list:
Esme: Nicole Kidman, Milla Jojovich, OR Catherine Zeta Jones (beacuse she rocked in Chicago and would rock as Esme too)
I still think the guy from Moulin Rouge would make a good Nero. I mean, Nero is supposed to be kinda large and bumbley, and Crispin Glover is niether of those things. Crispin is cool, but not ASoUE cool.
As for the cast they have now, I wouldnt change any of them. Even Jim as Olaf is great!

Bill Murray is a good actor, but not Nero. Bill Murray isnt....evil enough, you know what I mean? I think that with the good use of camera angles, a few voice twists (like he did in moulin rouge), and the right amount of body language, you couldnt find a better person for teh role then the guy who played Zidler (I should look his name up on IMDB in a minute).

Jeremy Irons for Nero ;D That may be stretching it a bit, but i still remember his voice work for the Lion King I actually wanted him for Olaf but . . . . I think he could be good.

Catherine Zeta Jones would be perfect as Esmé. I was actually imagining Jerome more like Colin Firth.

Colin Firth sounds familiar, but I cant recall his face. Ill look it up when Im not feeling lazy.

Olafsassociate, do you think crispin would be good for olaf though? I know hes not physically nero, but he could gain a few pounds, and put the elastics in his hair, and he can play a very good mean person. did you see his performance in "like mike" he was such a bastard in that! (excuse the language) i think that character, along with the whiny mimicking voice (neros trademark) and a makeup artist would be key factors in developing crispin as a good nero. Dont you think?

[glow=blue,2,300]I think that Bill murray would be better cuz its true Nero is no stick and bill murray could portray the annoying role. [/glow]

I wouldnt change a thing i like the people set for the roles. ;D Though the thought of Will Ferrel(bad spelling) playing Nero sounds pretty good.

I see what your saying, but makeup/body suits/special effects can only do so much, and I dont think that Crispin would be set right for the role. Not Olaf, either. Olaf is creepy, but not Willard creepy. I cant stand Will Ferrel (spelling?), so I could never see him in any way as Nero. I still think the Moulin Rouge guy would make the best choice.

These are some actors I would consider for movies beyond the 3rd book. Georgina Orwell - Uma ThurmanBEST. CASTING. EVER. That swordfight would be destined to be completely and totally awesome. Good too. Jude Law has that look to him, after seeing him in GATTACA he could probably do a great Jerome. Flacutono should TOTALLY have been Crispin Glover. He would have it down absolutely pat. Crispin != Nero for me, R. Lee Ermey should be Nero. God that'd be horrifying.

What do you mean Nero is a serious role, Violetsthorn? Nero mocks children, hes terrible and ignorant and cruel.
No one seems to be looking at these books from a comedic standpoint of view like they should be, and like it was meant to be.
Yeah, Ferrel can be funny (even though I dont think he is), but he isnt Nero. And Nero isnt serious, either.
