"I've been living in the Mortmain Mountains with my uncle, Racine Mudge." Malise replied. "He's a young man, 23, but he acts old. He's very thin and gets these banging headaches. He's really quiet, and sometimes he creeps me out by disappearing and then, when you look for him, he appears in the room you were just in. I know it's impossible for anyone to do that, but I can't think of any logical explaination. He's a genius, of course, but I think he's a little mental"

"Yeah, most smart people are...Aren't you glad I'm not?" Duncan said, hugging Malise.

"You're very smart Duncan. But you're not mental. But being smart has nothing to do with it, I think he's been this way ever since my aunt died."

"Oh, that would make a lot of sense though. A lot of people go through that when somebody close to them dies..." Duncan said.

"She fell off Mount Fraught. She didn't even get a funeral because no one could find her body." Malise began to cry.

"Oh my goodness, that's sad. I'm so sorry," Duncan trailed off, putting an arm around Malise and trying to comfort her.

"Yeah, that's too bad," said Isadora after taking the pizza from Carmelita.

"People say you can tell what people used to be like if you take an old photo and look at their eyes." Malise said. "I think they meant the amount of light in their eyes, but how I can tell if pictures of Uncle Mudge are before or after Auntie's death, is that his eyes didn't look as sunken."

" You look a lot better than you did when we first met," Duncan pointed out,"You used to bee all sullen and clammy. But now you're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. I wonder if that's the same thing your uncle is going through, just in reverse..." Duncan trailed off.

"Is there anything I do?" Duncan asked, rubbing Malise's back.

"Thanks for asking, Duncan." Malise replied. "But I don't think there's anything we can do for him. He's got to recuperate, that's all."

Olaf: *gets bored of Duncan's and Malise's lovey dovey talk and so strides over to the grand piano and sets it alight*

"Aw man...That was expensive..." Duncan shouted, as he put it out with a fire extinguisher he kept by him in the house. (Who's gonna give Olaf some matches and not have a fire extinquisher?) "Now, Olaf, if you do that again, not only will I poke you in the eye, but I will put a rabis ferret down your pants. And take away the matches" Duncan said.

"Awwww" Olaf whined "But I'm bored. What else am I suppose to use the matches for?"
