"Roomcheck," *Let's go see if they're in their rooms,* Sunny said.

As Violet's eyes adjusted to the darkness, she found that she was in some sort of tunnel. Oh great, she thought, another mysterious tunnel. She decides to take it anyway, curious as to where it might lead.

Carmelitta had banged her head on the ground so when she managed to pull herself up again she found she was unaware of the direction she was originally going. "Oh I just want to get out of here now" she worried to herself, exasperated she unkonowingly started running away from the direction she originally came untill she banged into something solid. She felt a door handle and relieved thinking it was the exit she began to turn the handle only to find out it was locked. "No!" she cried and started banging on the door "Let me Out! Let me OUT!" she screamed.

Violet continues down the passageway and to her surprise hears screaming. Unnerved by this, she stops for a moment and checks behind her. No one was there. she sighed in relief, then puts her hand on the wall to support herself. As soon as she does, however, she realizes that her hand is on a switch of some sort, wondering what it was, she flicked it on, and the room was suddenly flooded with light.

Claire found herself in a small but well-lit room that had rows and rows of bookshelves containing books regarding the most common to most obscure subjects. In a corner was a large desk with a red cushioned chair. After taking a good look around, she sat down in the chair and started to flip through the book she had found previously written by her sister using a pseudo-name. Most of the writings were familiar ones Emily had written years before, but Claire's eye noticed some subtle differences. "I don't believe she used the word 'miraculous' in this poem, nor does the word 'swimming' sound familiar in this one," Claire thought to herself. "Perhaps there is a secret message......" Claire began to work on interpreting the poem's hidden meaning but was abruptly interrupted by a sound of knocking on the door followed by screams of "Let me out! Let me out!"

It was a little known fact that the passageways had excellent acoustics, and Lindow had excellent hearing. She raced into her closet, crawled through a trapdoor in the floor, and fell with a thump in a dusty corridor. She listened, trying to hear which passage the nearly inaubible yelling was coming from.

"Wait! Help!" *Wait for me! I can help* Sunny yelled as she hurried after her new friend.

Claire hesitated, wondering what she should do. The person was obviously confused, since the room wasn't an exit. In fact, as Claire glanced around, it appeared like the only way to get out was through the one door. There were evidently no windows since it was underground, but she assumed that there must be some other way of getting out. Claire turned her attention back to the person banging on the door. She had no way of knowing whether the person was a volunteer or a villain, so she decided to keep quiet, at least for the time being.

"It's coming from under ground. It must be the book case passage, that has the best projection." Lindow whispered. "But we have to be careful, I think there's someone outside and inside."

Sunny nodded. "Whatnow?" *What do we do to get them out, or at least find out who it is?* she asked.

"We go forward and through the trapdoor under the dictionary. It's fifteen doors down. Then we have to slide down the dirt slope. It's three stories tall, you up for it?"

"Try not to scream, we're not alone." Linow said, walking toward the large book. She lifted it up to reveal a deep, dark hole.
