"I don't think a toddler such as yourself should be left alone." Lindow said to Sunny.

"I'll watch with her," Claire spoke up. "I'll make sure these villains won't get away."

"Thanks, Claire." Lindow ran back in. She went up to the front desk. "May I use the phone?' The woman nodded, then went back to filing her nails.

Claire felt a sense of responsibility being left in charge of the villains. She looked back down at Sunny, smiled, and looked back at the villains and the dark sky behind them. Claire could feel the moisture in the air; she knew that the clouds were getting ready to let out their burden of rain. Yet, she stood firm not even blinking at where the villains were located.

"Hello? Detective Dire? Yes, this is Lindow. No, the food isn't any more poisonous than usual. I've got the notorious Chatelaine Hildagaarde captive in the mosoleum. No, it's not a joke. Thank you." She hung up.

The fog started to come in gradually, and Claire was nervous that the fog would completely obstruct her view of the villains. She moved in closer. The villains were still visible, since the fog wasn't too thick. Still, she hoped that Lindow and the police would hurry up and arrive.

Lindow ran back out. "The police should be here soon."

As Carmelita ran around the corner she bumped into a tall girl with spiky white hair. As she drew her attention down to her face she screamed as her eyes met an empty eye socket covered with glass. Frozen to the spot her screaming fit came to a sudden end as the the girl pulled out a small dagger and slit Carmelita's throat. She collapsed to the ground, all she could see was the blood gushing out of her body.
OOC: Yeah, I know I killed off my own character but meh, I got bored of playing her...now, any vacancies?

(Maybe you could be the Detective?)
Sunny screamed as she saw Carmelita fall. "Escape!" *They've escaped! What do we do?*

The fog had covered up most of the action, but they saw someone struggling and heard a scream. Claire hurried over to the spot where the villains were. The villains had mysteriously vanished, but that wasn't their main concern. She looked down at Carmelita on the ground. Blood was everywhere. Claire's eyes widened in fear. She went down on her knees and checked Carmelita's pulse. She looked up at the others and sadly informed them, "She's dead."

Sunny's eyes widened, and she asked Lindow, "Whatdo?" *What do we do when the detective shows up and we have no criminal?*

"Wait a second," Claire said, looking suspiciously at something dark she saw around the tree. "The villains never left. Look!" They all looked down at where Claire had pointed, behind the tree was a large hole where all the villains had fallen while trying to escape. The hole was just tall enough where the villains couldn't get out without outside help.

Violet had been keeping watch on her brother when she heard someone scream. She ran downstairs to see what had happened, saw Carmelita dead, screamed, then ran over to Lindow and asked "What happened?"

"Toogood," *I don't mean to be pessimistic, but this just seems too fortunate,* Sunny mused.

Claire agreed. It seemed too good to be true that the villains had conveniently fallen into a pit buried just low enough where they could not get out. "Perhaps it is a trap? Or maybe our luck has changed," Claire pondered.
