Esme didn't see Olaf coming back to the cab, and she didn't see him with the troupe, she decided to go investigate (which she didn't want to but she couldn't wait longer) She walked out making sure that no one noticed her, (which was kinda hard to do cause she was wearing that horrible outfit) she was nearly there when she saw something on the ground, oh must be one of the baudalairs... when she saw Olaf there she screamed, "AHHHHH!!! What happened to my Olaf dear!! She pointed to the hook-handed man and said,"This is all your fault! If Olaf doesn't wake up in the next 5min. you will not get any of the fortune!" and bent down to examine how bad Olaf's injuries where.
