I live on the outskirts of an internationally renound vineyard area. My friends and I make regular expeditions 'round the cellar doors. I'm afraid I've become something of a fine wine connoisseur.

I'm the adventurous type. I make a point of trying everything at least once, whenever the opportunity presents itself. Twice if I like it. So far I have discovered I despise beer in all it's forms from Guiness to Lite, I dislike whiskey and rum and Schnapps makes me ill. I quite like most cocktails and liqueurs (Kahlua, Baileys, Contreau) but my favourite is red wine, in particular, Shiraz and Cab/Sav.

My doctor has suggested two glasses a day, but I usually just have four glasses a week unless there's a party or cellar door tour or something.

I get the feeling from posts in this thread that I may be one of the older members... well, older in age, but newer in membership. In fact, this is my first day.

Older than my teeth, but as young as my tongue.
