i am reading:
-Girls on Film: An A-List Novel -The Little Black Book of Cocktails -Romeo and Juliet (I think Mercutio and Benvolio are gay lovers based on some hints and clues in the book and the notes that are on the left pages.) -Truth or Dairy?

I thought the same thing as Char thinks about the gay lovers when I read R+J the first time...Heh. The older 60s-ish R+J movie is the bombness. Especially the naked-buttcheek part.

I didn't like that part... like one girl in my class poignantly said, "well, it was teasing you all the way down his back then THERE IT IS". Hehe. But he was supercute, with the Beatle-esque hairdo and everything. If Mercutio wasn't a fictional character I'd marry him ^_^ Hehe... he was great in the 60's movie... and I think he and Romeo would probably be very cute together.

I just started reading Artemis Fowl, very different from ASoUE, but I like it, very good description.

Oh so scarring. Naw... just kidding. What is it about Shakespeare and mens' bare bums? Much Ado About Nothing has a lot of random @$$shots in the beginning sequence, too. And now that you mention it... he did kind of look like a Beatle... A friend and I tried to write a modern version of Romeo and Juliet and we made up a "soundtrack" for it, I remember. The one for Mercutio's death was actually a Celine Dion love song... so we had to change it so no one would mis-understand.

I designed 'costumes' and made a 'soundtrack' and everything. It was over the summer, and I was bored... My friends and I put on our 'modernized version' for our Lit teacher, she said we mutilated the works of Shakespeare. But she was laughing/grinning the whole time we were acting it out....Maybe because my friend Steph (who played Juliet) doesn't know where to draw the line...She kept writhing after she was supposed to be dead.

Juliet in the Zephirelli R & J was wearing a rather revealing dress in the beginning where romeo wass at the balcony. not only was the neckline really low and lots of cleavage but it was soooooooooo tight and she was like...bludging and falling out. really gross and everytime R & J meet up they attack each other its like...GET A ROOM!! YOUR IN FRONT OF FRIAR LAWRENCE!!!
