My cousin didn't sue the guy who raped her though. It was her boyfriend. They split up, though. (of course)

There's a bunch of gay boys and lesbians in my school, as well as bisexuals. They're cool cats. *is bi* Hooray! <3 Why do you think they're cool. They're freaky. But let's get back on subjesct. This about sex and virginity, not gays and lesbians. Eek, sends chills up my spine..

Maybe because I'm accepting of different values and sexualities and I think that people's choices of who to love shouldn't be restricted based on gender alone? Ya think? [/bitter] Anyway, learn to use the Modify button and let's get back on topic. So. Virginity.

You just remind me of the stereotypical librarian AKA actual good girl. I don't think that's a bad thing, and in fact I'm quite sure parts of my life are very similar to yours. Alright then, I'm glad that's been clarified. My friends could probably tell you that I actually am, for the most part, the stereotypical good girl. They could tell you that I never swear unless I'm really really really really mad about something (if I'm upset, I say "Gosh darnit," if I'm angry/upset with someone, my main insult is calling them a "goober"... not a typical person, really). For a while, a friend of mine was saying that it was illegal to swear around me (which at times meant she herself was breaking the law). For all that, I'm probably rather naive as well... I'm very book smart, but not really street smart at all. So, I say these things and have these plans, but really don't have any idea as to how these things go on, and don't really know how the world really works, despit the fact that I'm 19 years old and in college. Whether that's good or bad, I don't know... I just hope if I ever need to, I'm able to stick to my beliefs and values.

Being raped is one of the things I'm most paranoid about when walking around anywhere (namely in the city where my college is, because I'm not used to being in the city, but I'm paranoid even in the small town where I live). That's why I take Kung Fu.

Pika, what does being ten have to do with anything. You realize how wrong rape is, right? How shameful a victim of rape feels-- so why wouldn't it be personal? I don't even see the purpose in wanting to know that about someone. You just want to know? You realise how wrong it is to meet someone of the net? If you are prepered to meet someone off of the net you are stupid. As there are chances you cud get raped. So it'd be your own silly fault

Many things could happen to you because of giving too much personal information out. Even giving out your email can get you in serious danger.

You kids are really freaking me out right now. You do realize how wrong it is to base your judgement of someone on their sexual orientation, don't you? I know swans has already covered the fact that rape is a very serious thing and not an issue to be talked about so lightly, so I won't get into that. Honestly, from what I can tell, I don't think Mister Pika really understands what sex and rape are (he's even afraid of being physically attracted to someone), so I hope all his issues are cleared up when he gets a little older. But let's get one thing straight here: Gay people are not FREAKY. They are not WRONG. They are just different from you. And that's no reason for you to not be friends with them, or to pass judgement on them. If you stay away from them because they are different from you, you may be missing out on knowing some really great people just because you are close minded. Also, what makes you think that everyone on the internet is a psycho sex criminal? If you and I met, do you think I would assault you, merely because I was at one point on the internet? If you met someone else on the board, would you assault them, because you met them on the internet? Over the last 7 or so years, I've met at least 50 people in person that I originally talked to on the internet. I met them in safe, public places, with groups of friends. A lot of them turned out to be really great friends. Although a couple of them were creepy, I was never alone with them, so it wasn't an issue. After I met one of them, we started dating. And a year later we got married. So trust me, not everyone on the internet is out to kill or assault you. Use your judgement. It won't let you down. If you have a bad feeling about someone, for goodness sake, don't meet them! But don't write them off as psycho because they like chat rooms or posting boards as much as you do. On the topic, if you don't place so much emphasis on your loss of virginity, you won't have to spend the rest of your life fretting about it. Just remember, sex means a lot in a relationship, and next to nothing outside of a relationship. You decide how much you want it to mean to you.
