I think NBC, or one of the major networks, actually voted on showing nudity on prime time TV. Its a good thing they voted no, or TV would be going down the drain.

Why do we need more to be shown? There are children watching, there are people whose opinons don't condone such graphicness(or should it be graphicity). I have no real problem with it, as long as it stays off the public networks-leave it on cable, pay-per-view and so on.

It's easy enough to stumble across nudity and violence as is, so I wouldn't think there would be any more need for it to be made public. As SS, said, they can have it wherever they want, as long as we don't have to watch it/accidentally see it as we watch our innocent kiddie shows.
I mean, yeah, it would be good (maybe) for money, but honestly, they'd probably lose a lot of customers if nudity was really really rampant, too, so they people they attracted would probably not outweigh the rest. Mind you... if it happens gradually enough, no one will notice it, eh? It's been happening steadily for a long time...

Well, maybe. If they put HUGE warnings before each show. Then, you can tell if you want to watch it or not. But I think it's fine how it is.

Yeah, but if you're just surfing, looking for something, and all of a sudden there are BOOBIES EVERWHERE, you wouldn't exactly be thrilled, would you? You can't predict who will be watching what when, really, so warnings probably wouldn't do much.

Actually, I don't have any particular desire to be bombarded by breasts. And I've checked...I'm a guy. [edit]Actually, my guyness wouldn't mind horribly. It's my sensibilities that refuse to listen to it. I tihnk with the correct head.[/edit]

I honestly don't care if broadcast channels show nudity/violence as long as they show a warning beforehand, and keep the little N/V/SC sign in the corner of the screen to continually warn people. that would be horribly annoying on channels which interupt shows for ads we get the name and rating after each ad break for a short while(less than half a minute) but it would be terrible if they cover up a corner of the screen to tell you that the movie you are watching isn't appropriate for people who aren't you...

One time I was checking my computer homework online and I clicked on the link for the schedule and instead of the schedule there was a porn site...that was pretty freaky. I wouldn't want nudity on TV that would just be weird and I wouldn't be allowed to watch TV anymore.

I have no objections against violence and nudity on television--even though I don't want to see them for myself; some people do, and that's their business. Having a rating system for TV programs is helpful for the same reasons the movie ratings system is. Unfortunately, it might be troublesome for the same reasons. If a show is rated TV14, can a mature 12-year-old watch it? It's hard to say just how old one has to be to see a certain bit of objectionable content.
