Yep, I believe that. And since everybody tries to use the Constitution against me in religious threads, I must point out: In this case, the constitution is 100% on my side! So ha!

Basing the government and its decisions on the bible excludes most other religions, which is an indirect violation of the first amendment.

We have the right to bear arms.
No one is going to take that right away from Americans until something big and scary involving guns happens. And, even then, it will probably only be temporary.
Americans are a gun loving people. Take away our guns and we no longer feel safe. And, we need that false security. The mentality seems to be 'I need a gun to protect myself and my family', not 'I need a gun to hunt things', which can be debated.
Do you actually need a gun?
No.
What are the chances you will need to protect yourself via the use of the gun?
Slim to nothing.
So...tell me. What would happen if we took away all the guns in the world, or simply even America, right now? Would we be better for it?

Can you believe they lifted the ban on assault weapons? I'm all for having a gun or two inside the home for self-defense (and because guns are hawt), but what kind of good could that POSSIBLY do?! You don't need an assault weapon to defend yourself, hunt or do anything else other than killing large amounts of people.

And I looked and you were right. Which happens far too damned often. Ha! I'll take that as a compliment. I know this is a much-used argument, but it bears repeating: The people who abusing guns are the people who don't get them legally, or if they do could easily get them illegally. If you ban guns, the only people who will have them would be the criminals.
