Oh dear. Crazy psycho people . . . I love it! Ents are cool, but they're doodie heads too. They take too long to decide, and when they do, it's all "Nah, we don't feel like helping you save the world, 'cause there's nothing in it for us." Hmmph! The only reason they help was because Merry and Pip tricked them into it! oh well, they're still awesome. John Rhys-Davies forever! Did I spell that right?

I don't care for LoTR much actually. It's not my type of book. There aren't very many humourous bits in them, and I think the movies were completely horrid. I think Tolkein's a genius though, for creating a whole language (as my friend I have done, though never to that extent ) and mythology. *ducks*

*covers KB's eyes* Hurry tealeaf, run! Get out of here! I can only hold him back for so long! By the way, I think you're crazy too, but as long as you acknowledge that Tolkien was a genius, there's no need for violence.

LOL! No need to worry, I think you're well out of range now. I actually agree with you somewhat. LotR is indeed a difficult book to get through, not because it's hard so much, but more because it can really drone on at times. I remember when I started reading it, I got to the part when the hobbits go into the Old Forest, and all they did was walk and walk and walk. Tolkien just couldn't state enough how creepy their surroundings were. So I closed the book, and didn't come back until 2 months later. Then I opened to where I left off, and lo and behold! If I'd have just turned the page I would've met Old Man Willow! So I learned my lesson in that respect. Whenever it got to a part where he was describing the pattern of the tides or the exact shade of grey the clouds were, I'd speed read to get through it. What I really like about his work though are the themes. They're the timeless part of his work. It also has such an incredible depth that, when finished, leaves you thirsting for more. I wish he were still alive today. It would've been nice to have the chance to meet such a brilliant man. Oh, by the way, love the signature .
