(Alli, please.) And it was a kid movie, definately. Tres boring... lots of talk from the kids about bloody battles and things, but no actual blood (oh wait. Peter got a cut. ), and very kid-safe, yeah.

I can't believe you like Peter Pan. This movie screams CR**. (No offense if you are under 12)

I went to see the movie and I thought it was cute! It's very kid safe.. the previews, eh, not anything I really really really want to see or that I can't wait till it is released on DVD. I'll probably end up seeing Ella Enchanted (that's the title, right?) and Shrek 2. I loved Puss in Boots when I was a wee girl.. rawr! I wanted them to do a twist on the story and have Peter return back to the world with Wendy, and maybe have Paul Walker play the grown-up Peter and have him woo her, or something to that effect. Though alas Peter is the boy who never grows up even if he is given a thimble. AH! They're making an Ella Enchanted movie? I used to love that book when I was little! Why must they do that? And heh...that sounds interesting...I was sort of thinking the same thing...nifty.

NO. They cannot do this to me. They cannot ruin my childhood memories like this...
It's not really like Shrek, to me anyway. Amazon.com At birth, Ella is inadvertently cursed by an imprudent fairy named Lucinda, who bestows on her the "gift" of obedience. Anything anyone tells her to do, Ella must obey. Another girl might have been cowed by this affliction, but not feisty Ella: "Instead of making me docile, Lucinda's curse made a rebel of me. Or perhaps I was that way naturally." When her beloved mother dies, leaving her in the care of a mostly absent and avaricious father, and later, a loathsome stepmother and two treacherous stepsisters, Ella's life and well-being seem in grave peril. But her intelligence and saucy nature keep her in good stead as she sets out on a quest for freedom and self-discovery, trying to track down Lucinda to undo the curse, fending off ogres, befriending elves, and falling in love with a prince along the way. Yes, there is a pumpkin coach, a glass slipper, and a happily ever after, but this is the most remarkable, delightful, and profound version of Cinderella you've ever read. Gail Carson Levine's examination of traditional female roles in fairy tales takes some satisfying twists and deviations from the original. Ella is bound by obedience against her will, and takes matters in her own hands with ambition and verve. Her relationship with the prince is balanced and based on humor and mutual respect; in fact, it is she who ultimately rescues him. Ella Enchanted has won many well-deserved awards, including a Newbery Honor. (Ages 9 to 14) --Emilie Coulter --This text refers to the Paperback edition.
It's a pretty cheesy book, but still...I used to love it so much...meh for them making it into a movie.

Hmmmmmmmm, did it have jokes that were supposed to be funny, but you were like "Yawn. Haha. Soooooooo funny. Pass the popcorn. What! You ate it all? But that was the only good part about this darn movie! Ahhhhhhh!" Okay, maybe only I do that, but still, you know what I mean.......

Well, I thought the movie was very beautiful, with all the scenery. The Peter and Wendy scenes were very sweet. It's not completely geared towards kids, I mean I loved it. I thought it was very funny and Hook. *dies* OHMYFREAKINHECKIAMGOINGTOMARRYHIM!!!

Yeah, he was good. He looked good. Didn't look half as good as Lucius as he did as Hook/Mr Darling. It's the long blond hair. Long blond hair was not made for men. It looks good on no man (not even Orlando Bloom, I'm sorry, but it's true). I liked some of the special effects (the CGing when that kid was blushing, though, was way overdone..), and I was laughing sooo hard when they were doing that "I do believe in fairies, I do I do" bit. HA!

A group of my friends and I are going Friday... I've read some reviews in local papers and online that say everything from "They address the fact that there could be some sensuality between Peter and Wendy" to "It's horrible." Is there anything that I can look forward to?

Well, I thought it was terrific really terrific. Only how could Peter leave Wendy?! She is the only person he has ever loved *supresses sob* and then she *sniff* went off and had *lower lip trembles* kids with somebody else! But it wasn't her fault Peter should have stayed with her! I am just never ever satisfied with ending to movies!!! Never! Not with Looney Tones back in Action, or Titanic, Or Harry Potter 5 (well, the book).
*I cant get no...satisfaction!* ~love that song
um, well, thanks for letting me rant, I'm an insomniac tonight
