Hey, Antenora is back? Yay!
I like ASOUE because even when there are so many awful things going on, there is something in the writing that makes it funny. The real world isn't so pleasant anyway, and I think that if you can find one thing to laugh at it's easier. Like a waiter in a salmon suit. Although his life must not be so easy because all these random people are laughing at him. --- songbird

ASOUE challenges all other literature to become something brand new. By mixing misfortune, humor, cynicism, and countless other elements into a delectable purée, it defies conformity and gives readers a unique perspective that they can carry on to other literature. ASOUE made me realize how silly it is to pretend that everything is always okay, and that the worst situations can be made a bit better through humor. -Libitina

I'm not sure why I love ASOUE so much, but I guess it is because it is so many things at once. In the funniest passages there can be something terribly poignant, and in the saddest or scariest there can be things that make me laugh out loud. It gives us puzzles to solve, but also leaves us with a sense of the mystery of life. It is a story of despair, but also of hope. Thank you, Mr Handler, for giving so much pleasure.
