"I thought this Quigley person over here was my twin, Artie," Marty explained. "Apparently, he also has a twin named Duncan."
"Triplet," Quigley corrected. "We also have Isadora. Duncan and I are identical, though. It's amazing that you're wearing the same outfit as me. Duncan dresses differently."
"That's strange," replied Violet. "So, uh, who are your parents?"
"George McFly and Lorraine Baines," replied Marty.
"Lorraine Baines is your mother!" Quigley gasped. "Mine, too." Then, in a softer voice, he added, "Before she died."
"Get out of town!" protested Marty. "You're telling me that Lorraine Baines is your mother, and she's dead?"
"I think Marty's from an alternate reality, Quig," Violet suggested.

Klaus and Isadora saw another boy turn up. They also thought it was Duncan. "Hi Marty," said Isadora. "I'm Isadora Quagmire and this is my boyfriend, Klaus."

"So that's Isadora!" Marty gasped, as he gazed at the girl. "Y'know, you look a lot like my mother - when she was about our age."
"That's true," confirmed Quigley. "People always said that Isadora was the spitting image of our mother."
"So, uh, this Duncan," Marty started to say. "He isn't here?"
"Not that we know of," replied Quigley, "and this Isadora, even though she looks like my sister, is not from our universe. Somehow, even though Klaus and Isadora look to be the same age as the ones from our universe, they came here from 1978. We're from 1985."
"I came here from 1985, too," replied Marty. "So, if Lorraine is your mother - then Sam and Stella are your maternal grandparents?"
"That's correct," replied Quigley. "Sam died in 1970, while Stella is still alive."
"The same is true of our universe," commented Marty. "So, uh, who's your father - and who are his parents?"
"My father's name was Rupert Quagmire," explained Quigley. "His parents' names were Theodore Quagmire and Alice... McFly."
"Alice is my grandaunt," Marty explained. "So, uh, is Alice Arthur's sister? Arthur is George's father, married to Sylvia Larson."
Quigley's eyes were now wide open. "Arthur died of Lachrymose leeches back in the 1920, when his family was staying by Lake Lachrymose!"
"Holy sh*t!" gasped Marty. "You mean those flesh-eating leeches? I'd be scared to go there."

"Me, too," agreed Jerome. "I've never been there myself, but I've heard tragic tales of those who dare brave its waters."
"I wouldn't swim in Lake Lachrymose even if it there weren't any leeches," Esmé said. "I nearly drowned in a lake as a child, and as a result never learned to swim."

"I do like swimming, generally," Marty commented - as Quigley, Violet, and even Emily (who was playing with her coloured stone) nodded.
"Although," added Quigley, "my experiences at Mortmain Mountains almost turned me off of water. Not only was the current very fast, but the water was also very cold. Luckily, I didn't get hypothermia."
"That would be terrible," agreed Marty. "It sounds like you've went through some rough times."
"Well, definitely," Quigley agreed. "Not as much as Violet, along with Klaus and Sunny, had to endure." Then, remembering something, he added. "Marty, your paternal grandmother's name is Sylvia Larson."
"That's correct," replied Marty. "Why?"
"That's the mother of... Jerome Squalor," explained Quigley.
"Get out of town!" protested Marty. "Jerome Squalor is my new friend, and his mother's name is Cora."
With that, Quigley and Violet's mouths were hanging wide open.
"You mean, in your universe, he's not 47 years old?" Quigley asked, stunned.
"Nope," Marty replied confused. "He's eighteen, just one year older than me."
Marty, Quigley, and Violet then stared at the Jerome who was present.
"The Jerome that you know," Quigley asked, quietly. "Does he look like a younger version of the Jerome present - or is he taller and thinner, with black hair and blue eyes?"
"Now that you've mentioned it," replied Marty, "it'd be the former."

Esmé gazed expectantly at her husband, who was desperately trying to make sense of the information he'd just heard.
"I'm sorry," Jerome said to Marty at last, "but I'm afraid I don't recall ever having met you before. But," he added, afraid that he'd hurt Marty's feelings, "perhaps we did cross paths at one point. Did you grow up in San Francisco?"

"No, Hill Valley," Marty replied. Then he added, "Perhaps, you're also from a different dimension. Doc did tell me about them. Tell me, though - are your parents' names Maxwell and Cora?"

"Yes," Jerome replied, his voice full of astonishment as he answered Marty's question.
"The idea that you and my husband are from different dimensions does seem to be the most likely circumstance," Esmé agreed. Thoughtfully, she gazed around the room at the others who hailed from different places and times.

"Well, were you eighteen in 1985?" Marty asked.
"Jerome and Esme did say that they were from shortly after the year 2000," Quigley explained. "I forgot which year it was, exactly. By the way, do you know of a Bertrand Baudelaire?"
"Well, I haven't yet met him," Marty explained, "but I do know that he's a friend of Jerome's."
"My goodness!" gasped Violet. "I guess that means we also weren't born yet, in your universe."
OOC: I can imagine how confused everyone is now - since our ASOUE/BTTF crossover universe is based on your version of ASOUE - but my version of BTTF. Furthermore, my version of ASOUE is extrapolated from my version of BTTF.
NTS: Make mention of Doc and Lorraine being VFD volunteers, and Biff being a count.

Jerome replied to Marty, "Yes, I was eighteen in 1985. As a matter of fact, I was in my senior year of high school." "It was late 1999 when you and your siblings came to stay with us, Violet," Esmé said. "That was more than a year ago, now." "Bertrand was an acquaintance of Esmé's as well," Jerome pointed out. "We attended the V.F.D. Training School together," she added. "We were"- she cleared her throat uncomfortably - "more than acquaintances, back then." OOC: *laughs* I know, right? I know freebird is well acquainted with your BttF universe, as am I, and others are familiar with my ASoUE universe, so hopefully no one will have trouble picking up what we're talking about.

"Wow!" gasped Marty. "Yeah, I also know who Esme is - but she does live outside of town. It does look as if your counterparts... have a romance going on."
"Say, is your mother in the VFD?" asked Quigley. "If your mother's name is also Lorraine Baines... Also, what about Dr. Emmett Brown?"
"Oh, yeah, and what about Biff Tannen?" added Violet. "Is he a count working on the evil side of the VFD?"
"He is a count," confirmed Marty, "but what do you mean by the bad side of the VFD. From my understanding, they're a noble organization. Well, except for maybe the 'kidnapping children' part. That aspect never sat too well with me. Also, yeah, both my mom and Doc Brown are in the VFD."

"To tell you the truth," Klaus said. "I don't think Count Olaf is a real count, or even related to us in any way. Do you know if this Biff person is a real count or not?"

"To be honest, I never really thought to check," replied Marty. "He doesn't even deserve to be a baron, let alone a count. I guess I should check more into his history."
"I'm not sure, either," added Quigley. "You also make a good point about Olaf."
"And, about Olaf being related to us," added Violet, "it looks like he's only related to us via marriage and adoption, and not by blood. In addition, it looks like there's also a half-sibling of a half-sibling involved."

"Judging by the fact that Tannen is a German name and they have counts in Germany," said Klaus. "It is very possible that Biff could be descended from a German count. But I'm pretty sure having count as a title is pretty useless here in the United States."

Jerome couldn't help but grin at the news of himself and Esmé being romantically involved with one another as teenagers. Where they came from, the two hadn't officially met until they were in their early thirties. But knowing that they had also found each other in another universe pleased him tremendously. As if that wasn't enough, it made him feel even closer to his beloved wife. As a result, he wrapped his arms around her and folded his hands over her belly, protecting both her and their unborn child.
"I always questioned the idea of Olaf being a true count myself," Esmé said, covering her husband's hands with hers. "I was still a child when I first met him, and I remember my parents often speculated about it."
