I know what's going on. I just feel that it is quite impossible to type something here when bush fires are approaching your house. But you did type something here. They're like a fire that rages on through rural or semi-rural areas, often moving through fields or forested areas swiftly. They differ from a normal city fire in that they often spread to a large area, and are in more rural areas (not necessarily the country/outback/whatever just not the inner city). Black Saturday was a bushfire for example.

My family home in Tasmania. I'm down here now for my cousins wedding and my brother and his dad weren't able to make it because they stayed at the house. The father of the groom couldn't make it either because the fires cut him off down the peninsula.
