A TV show would actually be great. I like the idea of expanding upon the book lore in it - this would also be necessary to keep the suspense, I suppose (although other shows, like Game of Thrones, seem to be thriving in spite of being an adaption of a book series). It would all have to be filmed within a few years, though, to keep the actors from aging too much, so as facelesscreature notes, they should probably try to get through a couple of books per season. A TV series would also function well alongside the books, even if it deviated on some details - after all, the books already 'suffer' from an unreliable narrator. I think it's important, though, for them to let Daniel Handler have a say in the introduction of everything that wasn't in the books - not for his sake, obviously, but for ours. And that would make me jump for joy - more likely literally than figuratively. I don't really see that happening, though. This is all just wishful thinking. =(

More wishful thinking about that idea. Another book series would be great to fill in the gaps from ATWQ to ASOUE though.
