Since we've been granted another 5 entries each, I'll just add a few to revive the list:

His Dark Materials is a wonderfully grandiose adventure. I heavily support it.

59) Aunts Aren't Gentlemen by PG Wodehouse.
It happens to be my personal favourite Wodehouse book, but I really just wanted to get him on this list. It was a sad state of affairs without him.

60) Dune by Frank Herbert -- Not a huge SF fan but this is one of my most recent reads and I loved it. 61) The Stranger (L'Étranger) by Albert Camus -- I saw a few of you added literature from their native language, so here's my French addition to the list.

66) Night Shift by Stephen King - It is an amazing set of short stories including Night Surf and Children of the Corn. 67) The Mist by Stephen King - I decided not to add all of Skeleton Crew but instead add the best one in the collection. Good story and movie.

Good story and movie. I've been looking for an entryway to the works of Stephen King, but I haven't felt up to committing to a whole novel. Maybe a short story collection will be the best way to get a feeling of his writing. It's how I got into Murakami, anyway. Do you think Night Shift would work well for that?
