we should have been able to get that without so many hints, it was not a bad puzzle.
edit: although, it was not helpful at all that the moderator clue was just a random word from the rest of the clue

because the moderator name I was given didn't exist, and I didn't know the logic behind the solution so all I had to go on was the quote itself. I wanted to do a red herring moderator myself, but Tragedy, for once the voice of reason, went with the generic infinite

No, I still don't know what that's about. I thought you just created new accounts and made them moderators.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! I was first going to make another Gravity Falls-based one, but then this one occurred to me while I was writing to Willis.

Maybe yeah. I'm thinking something related to all the Snicket arson, as the quote was about blowing up a building.

Snicket refers to Virginia Woolf twice that I can recall - once with the Virginian Wolfsnake in TRR, and once in one of the ATWQ books when somebody, Snicket himself if I remember correctly, tells Pip and Squeak to drive "To the lighthouse!" Other than that, the Feint family is named after famous jazz musicians. Both of those are kind of tenuous connections, though, and neither of them led me to the correct password. I'd like a clue, too.

the answer was Big Bad Brick Gang
the quote was from a cartoon about the three little pigs and the big bad wolf. you could have gotten it from just that. or the moderator was 3, indicating the third little pig, who built his home out of bricks.
