It does make me sad that the Cast and Crew seem unaware of ATWQ, But with it being mentioned my fingers are still crossed that it will get adapted. While I like the idea of an original show, I would prefer them to adapt the source material first. You could easily turn ATWQ into a really good season of TV. You could expand Kit's story in it and it could be something really special. Then for season 2 do an original story with Lemony as the lead and young VFD members like Larry or Jaquline. My hopes are still high that this year won't be the last of ASOUE media.

Mr X, the VFX company that did work on Season 2's special effects (most notably the lions for TCC) have released a small article on their effects for Season 3. (Despite this article's short length it still contains some very, VERY, VERY big spoilers, so read it at your own risk.)

Mr X, the VFX company that did work on Season 2's special effects (most notably the lions for TCC) have released a small article on their effects for Season 3. (Despite this article's short length it still contains some very, VERY, VERY big spoilers, so read it at your own risk.) Possibly the biggest spoiler of all from the special effects article, and a confirmation of suspicions: Among the creature work done by MR. X was a sea monster called The Great Unknown. Director Barry Sonnenfeld wanted to maintain its mystery, so the sea monster is glimpsed only through a porthole, disguised as coral reef and waving kelp until his giant, glaring eye springs open. So that's that. Hmm. It's certainly a big change but one that's strangely intriguing given that Daniel Handler was the head writer on the show. I could be wrong of course, but I have a feeling that much like the other "answers" he has given us, it will simply lead to many more questions.

gothicarchiesfan, before I turn off everything besides Netflix, I’d just like to thank you for bringing me news over these 9 months. I’d check here daily and whenever there was a new post from you, even if just a small behind the scenes photo, would make the wait manageable. Now counting down the minutes until Season 3, I’ll see everyone on the other side.

So this final season is available in less than 2 hours, correct??? Quite likely, as the vast majority of Netflix programs usually are released at around 12:00 am Pacific Standard Time. gothicarchiesfan , before I turn off everything besides Netflix, I’d just like to thank you for bringing me news over these 9 months. I’d check here daily and whenever there was a new post from you, even if just a small behind the scenes photo, would make the wait manageable. Now counting down the minutes until Season 3, I’ll see everyone on the other side. Thank you very much for your extremely kind words imlarryyourwaiter . It's always nice to know that one's efforts do not go unnoticed. Though I must admit that I would be totally remiss in not giving full credit to people like ryantrimble457 and mizbizsav who were uncovering incredible scoops long before I even joined the forum and have continued to do so to the present day. This has been perhaps the happiest time I have ever spent on any forum, and though I do not intend to become any less active once the third season of the Netflix show drops, I still want to thank each and every person on here for making this a terrific experience.

My opinions on the last seven episodes, in order, are:
GREAT MOSTLY GREAT QUITE RUBBISH OKAY GREAT GREAT MOSTLY GREAT for the first 45 minutes, then ABSOLUTELY DREADFUL for the last 7
It is hard not to think that this production encountered difficulties beyond Sara Canning departing... but I will save those thoughts until a few more of you have seen all of S3...

Are there threads dedicated to each book like we had last year? I want to discuss TSS and TGG without getting any spoilers for TPP and TE.
