Updated the list with those new reviews, thank you veryfakedonkey and asoue11 ! The person who wrote the GamerHeadquarters review has also uploaded a YouTube review of the season. He was also one of the first reviewers from season 2. I have not finished my watch, but he does seem to give more details in his video review! www.youtube.com/watch?v=oiCqDI731UMEDIT: Finished watching - no spoilers, but there are some nice tidbits. Like at the 6:00 minute mark, he talks about there being a nice additional ending - Chapter 14!!!

I'm guessing one of the TPP episodes, perhaps?

I'm okay with The End being just 51 minutes, and then I remember that TBB Part 2 was over an hour, and even TEE Part 1 was 52 minutes, and ahhhhhhh. This season seems to be quite varied with its runtimes, so I hope it all feels concise and appropriate for their respective stories.

Last week's issue of Entertainment Weekly has a tiny review inside! Can't tell if it's for the entire season or for just The Slippery Slope episodes. Either way, they give it an A!
"This final season captures the irreverent spirit and cleverness of the book series. Unpleasantness includes: snow gnats, frozen orange juice shaved ice, an intrepid volunteer played by Allison Williams, and being forced to recall the major themes of Anna Karenina. It's a slippery slope to binge all seven episodes at once. A"

Question: does anybody feel like Mark Hudis’ name has suddenly started popping up in reviews again rather suddenly? I hardly remember seeing it anywhere in articles/reviews/marketing materials of any sort for the first two seasons and now it suddenly seems to be dropped at least once in nearly every review. Now, I could be wrong but as I remember it Hudis was fired (or if that terminology sounds a bit too harsh, exited) before the first season even hit production. Like I said, maybe I’m wrong, but I know there were definitely a few articles saying he had jumped ship back shortly after the time of Sonnenfeld officially being announced as attached to the show in any capacity.
I don’t know. Just something I’ve noticed. No real opinion on it, just an observation.

Mark Hudis was originally hired to be the showrunner for Season 1 but left after Barry Sonnenfeld took over the job. However, he's still credited on various websites as having developed the series and this is likely why he's been mentioned a few times. :Edit: The fact that he's popped up so often in reviews of Season 3 suggests to me that a lot of tv reviewers have simply been typing "who developed Lemony Snicket tv show" into google and simply copying the results.

IGN gives the season 8.7/10. The review goes episode-to-episode, so while no spoilers, there is some synopsis. May be advisable to skip straight to the end: “A Series of Unfortunate Events delivers its tightest, most exciting season yet in its final run of episodes. By deepening the characterizations of the Baudelaires, Lemony Snicket, and Count Olaf, the main cast gets plenty of great material to work with and delivers uniformly moving performances. Combined with some of the most tense and exciting episodes of the series, the third and final season of Lemony Snicket’s tale not only sticks the landing but beautifully nails the haunting, happy-sad tone the show has evoked since its debut.” Just wonderful. Also it’s good to see the children themselves receive praise in this review and others.

Just started watching Season 3.
I can't believe they still showing Mr. Poe in like every episode. Completely ruining the somewhat longing miss of his return in Book 12.
