Do you think our western attitude towards nudity is too prude? It seems the norm for people to be almost ashamed of their body naked, regardless of how it looks, which is kind of problematic when you unpick it.
Personally, I've always been pretty comfortable with it

Yeah I literally wish I could be naked more often, not in a sexual context at all, like just in a comfortable, relaxed way, but I
A) Live in Scotland and B) Live in a society where people (particularly women) are overly sexualised and it'd probably be dangerous

I agree that Bee should be naked as much as possible.
..
and for balance, Semblance as well
...
Tbh I don't get why people are so prudish in general. I think forcing people to 'cover up' generally makes nudity more sexualised than it otherwise would be. Not that I have problem with things being sexualised, however. But it leads to the two things being irrevocable in some peoples minds, which is the problem.

i think "western" attitudes rank among the least "prudish" worldwide. personally, i couldn't ever approve of a person conducting daily business with their genitalia and bunghole exposed, if only for sanitary reasons. i do think that toplessness should not discriminate by gender; i think cover all teats or none.

and for balance, Teenybopper as well Haha. By the way, if I wanted to post a picture of me shirtless, would that violate Proboards' rules? I would not do this- I don't know about probards' rules, but you are a minor so it's not a wise decision in general from a legal standpoint

You also might regret it in the future. Once something is on the internet, it is kind of there forever, regardless of if you take it down or not. Just something to think about.

I already feel uncomfortable when I'm wearing anything shorter than to my knees, I think it's half embarrassment and half just not liking the air touching my skin. About 358 days a year it's too cold for that anyway. I get a bit offended when people don't cover themselves much, but I admit that that's just me being jealous because most of the time the ones who do that look "better" (according to modern beauty standards) than me. Like "Put your thin legs away, they make me depressed" I don't think western cultures are particularly prude, I think they are about in the middle of the scale between some cultures where you don't really show any skin other than your face in public and others where people can just walk around (almost) naked and not even get weird looks. I think the main reason why most people are embarrassed about their bodies is that if naked people are shown in the media they always look much too perfect. I don't just mean the body shape, but they always seem so unnaturally smooth. Nobody is really the same colour everywhere on their body. And for example in a medieval world like in Game of Thrones, there is NO WAY women's bodies would be that hairless. Hair is generally an issue. Someone laughed at me when I was 13 because I hadn't shaved my arms, at the time I didn't even know that that was a thing that anyone does, so the idea had never crossed my mind. I know now that some people do that and some don't, but I still sometimes wonder if it bothers anyone if they see hair on my arms. So many people seem to think that hair on some parts of a human body is disgusting or even unhygienic, which is just nonsense, because if hair isn't unhygienic on your head or in your face (e.g. eyebrows), why would it be anywhere else?

do you think that coming from a cold country has influenced this? i'm in aus so it's normal for people to catch the bus in their swimmers, go to the shops in thongs or sandals (flip flops for you stupid americans) and dressing conservative is not really an option for our climate most of the time. About 358 days a year it's too cold for that anyway. I get a bit offended when people don't cover themselves much, but I admit that that's just me being jealous because most of the time the ones who do that look "better" (according to modern beauty standards) than me. I guess it is to do with that, I think it's because if you're in a hot country people just wear shorter clothes because it's hot, and if you're somewhere colder they do it for no reason other than to show their body.
