like I know he said it would seem self aggrandizing or whatever because he's far away in age from those experiences but I also wonder if it comes from gays gatekeeping gayness (like how bi people apparently still get told they're not really gay which is wild).

Also I've never read All the Dirty Parts but this line did break my heart a little bit lol:

Yeah that's such a quintessentially Handler-esque line, I love the way he spins his descriptions.
