Book #11's clue is: Many people have the same initials, which can lead to injustice. The initials in the jar in TSS were J.S. Quigley and the Baudelaires think it's Jaques Snicket. But who else could it be....?

No, it would be E.S... Jake was his nickname. I think the message was for Justice Strauss, although I think both her and Jerome Squalor will be in the next book. Adds more to the confusion, and the message of LS.com states much confusion will take place...

Not Capt. Sham, since that's Olaf, and nobody on the good side of the schism wants to associate with him.

Referring to V.F.D. how? Like a code for a place or an operation or something? I guess not since it's talking about "individuals". Anyway, the J.S. is the only clue we have to go by, so there's not much we can predict here. It's either Jacques or it's not, and there's nothing definite I can see which leads to anyone in particular. There are too many J.S.'s to make a good conclusion. Any of you have any ideas who it will be, though?

I'm not sure how but there are other initials besides J.S that's all I was trying to point out. We really don't know anything, and there are no definite clues as to what this clue means so.. gosh darn it J.S. could stand for Julio Sham!
Maybe Lemony is framed because someone else has the initials L.S. [shrugs]

ya, lemony always says that he has to clear his name bcuz of a bunch of fires that he didn't se (Olaf!) also vfd would work if it doesn't say "individuals" bcuz VFD stands for pretty much every thing, like Volunteers Fighting Disease, Venom Feels Delightful, Vinegar Flavoured Doughnuts etc... can any one think of other LSs?

But if you remember in TBB (dont remember the page) Justice Strauss mentioned that Justice wasnt her name, just a title. So would J.S. be her initials?

But the "in" means something like "not" in "injustice". So maybe he's trying to tell us it's NOT Justice Strauss. Then again... that's not a very great clue... It just eliminates one choice, and we're left with... how many? Then again, Handler's never been obvious about clues. However, I do think he means Justice Strauss... I just have a feeling she'll return.
