K is not dead because in TCC Lemony says that he is coming north to find her. And remember the letter in TSS? And she is the Duchess of Winnipeg! Because in one of the books (i forget which one) it says that his sister was planning on running away and marrying an archduke. And someone who marries an archdue is a duchess!

Look I think that K NUMBER 2(Not Lemony's sister) is the Dutchess of winnipeg, because everytime Lemony mentions her, he says she is the dutchess and not his sister.
