<closes eyes forcefully> No, it's not happening. It can't be happening. AHHHHGGGGG IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN!!!!!!!![/unnecessary panicking] Ominous Omnibus is definitely not the 12th book. Now you can help us spread the word so that WE DON'T SEE THAT AGAIN! <revives himself>

Please read threads before posting in them. This isn't book 12. Rather, it's a combination of the first three in one volume. We've brought this up before, in this very thread. As for the "more than a year between books" thing, I think that was just a bit of speculation on my part, or on the part of someone else. But it seems sadly probable, as the books get longer and longer. Note:I am not talking to antenora, I am talking To DanSRose. Look at the bottom left. the first three books for one low price!!!!!!

<bows head> I thought the picture posted earlier would stop this sort of thing from happening. But anyway, getting away from this, is it generally agreed that despite some people's thinking otherwise the book WILL take place (at least in part) inside Hotel Denouement?

If anyone says The Ominus Omnibus is the 12th book again, I will make them eat Vinegar Flavored Donuts for two years.

I went through the entire thread. These are all the mentions of The Ominous Omnibus: this might of already been talked about, but amazon.com/uk version says book the twelth will be the the Omnious Omnibus, will be 624 pages, and realesed on March 1, 2005. Do you think this is true? The Ominous Omnibus is a group of books, like the package, "The Trouble Begins". Therefore, it is not one book. (Tell me if I got the info wrong.) And they seem to be lying or something because...March..the first? I mean, that's good, that's GREAT! But..it doesn't seem likely...and..well...624 PAGES? Just..I highly doubt it... The Ominous Omnibus is going to be TBB, TRR, and TWW in set. I was robbed of my explanation. Hey, I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this yet, but im almost certain that book the twelfth is the Ominous Omnibus - it's a title by Lemony Snicket on Amazon -- look it up. It makes sense too i think -- the omnibus refering to the Hector's balloon??? Let me know what you guys think. No. The Ominous Omnibus is a collection of several of the first books. <groans> The Ominous omnibus is the first 3 all in one book. I don't want to have to go through this again... "Surely he hasn't been frazzled by Dante's brand new Kill-Zap-O-Ray?" Ennui, I'm sick of these unfounded allegations coming from you! Frankly, I'm surprised. Surprised and... disappointed. Now if you'd said Kill-O-Zap Ray, however... Anyway, jsnicket21, back to the subject at hand: Why do you think Book the Twelfth is the Ominous Omnibus, given the evidence presented in this thread? Edit: Not to mention...

Why should he have mercy on them? Especially if of all places they post their uninformed comments in THIS THREAD.

Share any and all rumors you've heard about book 12's title, and your own speculations as well. One speculative title I've heard on 667 is "The Odious Ocean"--I think Jacques came up with it. Another is "The Horrible(Horrific, or Horrendous) Hotel"; I don't remember if I made that up myself or what. Some have suggested "The Dreadful Denouement" which seems a more fitting title for the final volume. i think those two names sound really good.byex

Which two names? I posted three possible titles, more than that if you count the variants on the "hotel" one.

How about some other speculations? Here are two of mine:
Given the balloon in the final illustration of TGG and the hint about an adventure in the air: "The Dire Dirigible".
There's a hint the title may refer to a woman's name ("Her name" in the last letter fragment) so I suggest "The Maudlin Mausoleum." Maudlin is an adjective for excessive sadness, derived from the name Maud.

"the Dire Denouement?" "the Horrendous Hotel?" "the last lair?'' (where the sugar bowl can be found) btw, think mark posted this in a thingy he posted in "to my kind editor" thread that the sugarbowl can be found in the laundry in hotel denouement makes sense...

My thoughts on good titles for Book the Twelfth: THE HORRIBLE HOTEL THE DISMAL DENOUEMENT THE HORTICULUTURIST HOTEL THE DANGLING DEATH THE DANGLING DENOUEMENT THE DAUNTING DENOUEMENT THE DAUNTING DEATH THE FUN STORY OF A LITTLE ELF THE DESPERATE DENOUEMENT THE MUSTY MOTEL THE MANGLED MOTEL THE HAILING HOTEL THE HELPLESS HOTEL THE SORROWFUL SANCTUARY THE MENACING MOTEL THE REGAL REFUGE THE RESTLESS REFUGE THE FIERCEOME FALLING (ACTION) THE TERRIBLE TWELFTH THE TERRIFYING TWELFTH
My thoughts on good titles for Book the Thirteenth: THE FORMIDABLE FINISH THE ENIGMATIC END THE FAST FINISH THE RISKY RESOLUTION THE CONFUSING CONCLUSION THE VICIOUS VICTORY THE VIOLENT VICTORY THE BEST STORY OF A LITTLE ELF WHO HAD NOTHING BUT FUN AND LIVED HAPPILY EVER AFTER WITH BELLS AND FLOWERS AND FUN AND SONG AND DANCE AND FLOWERS AND MORE FLOWERS AND FAIRIES. OH, I ALREADY SAID FLOWERS THE ELASCTIC END THE ECONOMICAL END THE FINAL FINISH THE END OF OR RELATING TO AN ENIGMA
I have way too much time on my hands.
