Well, although the need for sharp teeth is limited, I could never do away with what seems to be one of the smartest infants in literary history . . . And how could anyone call an inventor useless? (Although sometimes, Violet becomes the least interesting . . . I dunno.) And Klaus well-read. Always a plus. In addition, he's a stubborn, pre-adolescent guy, which is always interesting to throw into a story with a baby and a sweet teenage girl and a one-eyebrowed count . . . which brings up another point . . . which of Count O's henchpeople are the most useless?
Ah, I suppose this is not the place . . .

I know it isn't a choice but I think Duncan's useless. I mean he doesn't do anything! Violet invents, Isadora writes poems and takes notes, Quigley makes maps, Klaus researches, and Sunny bites things and is well, a cute ba-I mean little girl. Duncan takes notes, but we have Isadora for that. Duncan was Violet's main squeeze, but we have Quigley for that. In a word, he's useless. Handler should kill him off.

Violet: Invents fake keys
Klaus: Saves Violet, solves anagrams, stalls
Sunny: Saves Violet, stalls, bends paperclips

Violet: stalls, comes up with disguising, makes cart to escape, ties the caravan with the car
Klaus: stalls, makes the direction of the mortmain mountains, researches library.
Sunny: notices library, bites rope shorter

Violet: helps with the vecunalry fastened door, helps get up the waterfall, help digs pit
Klaus: researches library, helps with the V.F.D., helps dig pit
Sunny: finds out about hotel d, and trick olaf with eggplant
So it looks like this order:
Klaus

therefore I voted Sunny.

I vote Klaus because he doesn't do any work...physical work anyway, and if they were all trapped in cages he would be the last-if he did-escape.

I voted Klaus, because he hasn't changed much lately. Violet's had her first date, Sunny's growing up, but Klaus hasn't really developed as a character. And if he gets killed off, let Violet have a dictionary and she can stay up nights researching her way out of unlikely yet unfortunate situations.

ahem, sunny did sumthin REALLY important in TMM, she fought Dr. Orwell, in a sword fight with her teeth, i think that helped A BUNCH! i didnt vote, because all of them are resourceful, and all of them at least do something in each book, so, i do say, that none of them are useless.

I voted Sunny. Because she doesn't really do a lot. Violet saves them with her inventions, Klaus researches things and he helps them in doing so, but all Sunny does is bite.

None of them are 'useless' but I voted Sunny how often do u get in a situation where sharp teeth help? For climbing up a soft wall when you're trapped in an elevator hall, for playing with snakes, for biting Count Olaf, for chewing wood, for making hand-made (or in this case, teeth-made) staples, for trying to wake up your older sister before her head is cut off, for disguising yourself as a wolf to hide for your life... Isadora doesn't take notes, she writes poetry!  Okay, so she researched a bit in The Austere Academy, but Duncan was the expert on it. Without him, they might not have found out about V.F.D. |

I, of course, did NOT vote. And anyways, sharp teeth will help a LOT of times! I mean, Sunny is a really important character, I have to say, I mean, she-she-she does a lot of stuff, she's the one who fights  ! Lol, only sometimes, but I still say she's important in her...erm..youth. ;D |
