I actually wasn't that enamoured with it when I saw the film, but I might buy it because I love ASOUE.

I love the music they played for the credits, is that on there?
EDIT: I just bought it. I had to go to three stores before I found it, and it was the last copy. It is awesome. Very moody.

My favorite tracks are 'Resilience', 'The Reptile Room', 'The Letter That Never Came', and of course 'Drive Away'. Lovely. ;D Some of the violins in some tracks (I forget which) reminded me of the violins in the 'Master & Commander' soundtrack, but the composers aren't the same.
If anyone's heard the soundtrack to 'The Village', it'd actually probably fit pretty well with the books. Maybe not the movie, because the movie had a funkier style about it, but the books certainly.

I love VFD. It's sounds like a creepy lullaby from a horror film. Loverly Spring is great too.

I only bought it for one song... "In Loco Parentis." Then I listened to all of them and I loved them. I don't have a favorite. I LOVE them all! Especially V.F.D. and Puttanesca. VFD sounds like they could turn it into a music box. They could make a lot of money off of that. I listen to Resilience and The Letter that never came when I can't get to sleep.

I liked the ambience on the website, but watching the movie made me realize how amazing the score actually was. The score even upstages the movie at times. . . I agree, and NOT just because I'm a band geek. Luv "Drive Away" and "VFD", the latter should be made into an ASOUE music box with Olaf and the Baudelaires on it, maybe the VFD insignia. It would work, right?

I never bought the soundtrack because I never have any money. I'm thinking about putting it on my Christmas list though.

I'm going to buy it. I have yet to come to a decision if I want to buy it off I-tunes, or if I want to buy it on CD.

"In Loco Parentis" is good, it sounds as if the Baudelaires are trapped or something. "Puttanesca" is good, too. I <3 it sooooo hard.
