TheWickerMan has graciously offered an authentic ILM shirt to the most devoted Lemony Snicket movie fan. He is letting the forum at large decide who is most deserving to get it. Please vote by Friday, December 16th, 9 p.m. Eastern.
First off, we have Borska who said:
First off I’d like to say you should see my room, and see just how total obsessed I am. My walls are covered with my ASOUE posters and my own ASOUE art, and on top of my desk i have a shelve that is entirely devoted to ASOUE. *Cry* I would take a pic of it with my digital camera and show you, but my irresponsible mother left it at my aunts house *Cry* so if my essay doesn’t get you, it would give me great happiness if you could wait about a week so I can get it mailed back to me.
In till then here is my essay:
I need the Lemony Snicket shirt because: I absolutely 100% love the Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket, including the movie (Yes there was lots of things wrong with it, but it’s ASOUE so you can’t go wrong there) I saw the movie 4 times in the theater (I would show you my ticket stubs, but I don’t have my camera *smacks face*) and now I own the special edition movie witch I try to watch at least once a month.
I own just about every ASOUE merchandise that is available to the public (Not including the different language books but I plan to get eventually)plus I have to make my own, right now I’m sowing stuffed dolls of the characters, I have Sunny and Violet done and now I’m working on Klaus, after that I'll be moving on to clay models. And I also have quite a bit of extra stuff form e-bay. I try and go on e-bay as often as I can to buy promo stuff and the special movie stuff. But I have yet to see that shirt on e-bay, and if I did, the bid would probably go up to high for me to afford (Seeing that I don’t get any allowance and the only income I get is from babysitting, witch isn’t much)
I have a pet Iguana witch i named Montgomery Montgomery, after uncle Monty, and i have 3 little black kittens witch i named: Isadora, Duncan, and Quigley Quagmire.
I even devoted the 13th day of every month to celebrate ASOUE! It’s called Unfortunate Events day, and every thing I do on that day has to some how tie in ASOUE. For example: on that day I only eat, and drink food, and drinks that was sometime or another mentioned in the books. You can watch the movies and or, read the books. Optional: act like one of the characters for the whole day with out breaking character.
In conclusion I need that shirt because I am a diehard ASOUE fan, and I’m sad to say this, but I would gladly EAT a EARTHWORM (If I could fry it first) for that shirt.
*gets down on two knees* Please, please, please please, please please, please please, please please, please, please, please, give me the great honor of owning that shirt.
With all due respect,
Hannah R. D.

WHY ORPHANED_HOPE13 DESERVES THAT SHIRT
By Orphaned_hope13
I should own the movie shirt that has been advertised because I am such a huge fan of Lemony Snicket. I currently own books 1-4, books 6-9, book 12, and the UA. I also own a T-shirt which I bought from Hot Topic in October.
I not only own these things, I have also created my own items. I have made a CD case, another T-shirt, several digital wallpapers, and many other things that I do not care to type right now for sake of time and the 200 word limit. I also have made stickers, templates for birthday cakes and party invitations.
I also write fanfictions. Some of my more popular pieces include "Never Again: the Olaf story" and "Last One Standing". In addition, I am currently hard at work on a series of musicals based on the series. I currently have TBB finished and am working on TRR, which is 2/3 of the way done. For more referance, you can read my work at: http://www.fanfiction.net...icket.
I draw artwork. I have an entire portfolio dedicated to JUST ASOUE artwork, jokingly entitled "The Snicket File." In addition I am VERY hard at work at school on a papier mache project that is based on a drawing of a scene in TPP that, in turn, was loosely based on the cover of TPP.
And while we are on the subject of schoolwork, I have done a powerpoint about THH, a Biographical report on Daniel Handler, a written report on TAA, and I am working on a presentation about TMM. I have reread each of the books several times over, and gotten my grandmother, my mom's friend, and both of my siblings into the series. My mom is considering starting the series soon as well.
Here we are, back at the subject of my books. I have my own little shrine dedicated to nothing but the series on top of my bookshelf. Each book is in turn displayed for a short time, and in that short time I take a picture of it and catalouge it into my computer. The current book there is TEE, soon to be changed.
I will use different phrases out of the series as well, and I have created many websites. For more information, check out the following sites:

Holy! I need that shirt! I'll do anything for it!!!
First off, the people who are more of book lovers shouldn't get that, because it's a movie shirt. The ones who should be able to get it should be BIG movie lovers- like me!!
I shall show how I love the LSASOUE movie:
I saw the movie three times in the movie theater (I have to admit, that's one time less than borska, but I ran out of money and would've seen it two more times before it went out of the movie theaters), and I kept asking if a movie theater that holds movies extra-long had it, so I could keep on seeing it.
I have DRAWN, DRAWN, DRAWN the costumes from the movie everywhere, and practiced drawing them so I can now memorize the patterns of the dresses. I have also read the LS edition of the Nickelodeon magazine (by the way, I subscribe NickMag, and didn't just buy an issue) over and over and over and over, no matter how many times I've read it, I still read it.
I bought the movie soundtrack a year ago, and now the CD has gotten really bad because I've listened to it so much. I listen to it every night and it sometimes makes me fall asleep (but that's really not the point).
I have both the Hot Topic shirts, which, may I remind you, have the movie animations on them. (And the sizes are XLs- so I would be able to fit in the ILM shirt.) I would really like to add another ASoUE shirt to my "collection."
I own TBB and TRR and not the whole set of books, because, well, I'm kind of poor and I don't have the money to actually buy the books, so I get them from the library. I got TBB with the collector's edition DVD (which I shall talk about next) and TRR for my birthday from a friend. The library doesn't have TPP yet, and I can't wait any longer to read it, so I'm getting that for Christmas.
I bought the DVD the day it came out and I watch the DVD every time I go on a trip (with my portable DVD player, and I don't have the time to watch it every night or like things like that, because of school and my life) and I've tried to see if there were any Sebald codes in the movie or not. I have the movie memorized, totally, the lines too!:
"I am sorry to tell you that this is not the movie you will be watching."
"Klaus Baudelaire, the middle child, loved books. Or rather, the things he learned from books. His parents had an enourmous library, and Klaus had read more books in his 12 years then any other adult in the world. Klaus loved nothing more then spending an afternoon filling up his head with thoughts from the books."
etc., etc.
So I end my essay with this: PLEASE, PLEASE, let me have that shirt. I love it, I love it, and I am a movie fanatic that needs a movie shirt. One, as stated already, who is more into the books should not take that because the movie lovers are more up to buying it, or whatever you're doing to give it to someone.
Lastly, and briefly, we have DearDairy:
Well, I'm unable to write a 200-word essay at the moment, and I don't have all that stuff, but I am the only actual size XL person to ask for it. So I would proudly wear the shirt in public for all and sundry to view. In addition, I would put a tattoo on my left ankle that says, "A really cool person gave me this shirt."
