Who knows, we may be surprised that in book 7 all houses are dissolved to encourage unity. Who says just because people possess different abilities that they are incompatible? It really is unfair to separate the kids like that. I mean, Gryffindors barely see Ravenclaws and hufflepuffs and all that. So Harry doesn't die? Eh, I always thought he might but now that's ruined. JKR said a couple years ago that she has the last chapter of the seventh book in a notebook already, she's not changing the ending.
