J: M and I were doing a little project. She counted how many useless scenes they were, and I added up the minutes in the useless scenes.
C: We're halfway through the movie, and we have 6 minutes and 5 seconds. I made lines, and she times how long it takes to say the lines.
"Harry...I'm Moony. Sirius, Padfoot. And your father was Prongs. Wormtail was Peter Pettigrew. We were known as the marauders, in our school days. We would play pranks all over the school. That's why we made the map--yes, Harry, we made that map. We were very close friends. I tried to hide my lycantrhopy from them, but they were clever. They caught on. And they...they became Animagi, so they could accompani me during the full moon. They were the best friends I could ever hope for."

"The patronus is very advanced magic, Harry. If you're skilled at it, then it will take the shape of a creature that will protect you. But I don't expect that yet...no, it'll probably just be some silver light now."

So, just to be safe, let's say those 3 lines took two minutes. That's three plot holes filled, and even if we are underestimating by 2 minutes or so, Alfonso Cuaron could still have one or two of his precious stupid scenes, or even more scenes that are actually useful!
C: So, what do you think of our studies, and what would you add if you had 6 minutes for movie fixing? I mean, we're not even halfway done. This could be 12 minutes we're talking about. But we'll see later. for now, it's 6 minutes.
