I'm not quite sure how to react to this. On the one hand yeah they're good and it'd be nice to keep them. But they'll be ridiculously old for their characters' actual ages. I guess it happens all the time in movies but still... *whines*

They do actually fit the characters at those ages very well. Maybe it won't work well if they really seperate the movies 6 and 7.

Time will tell I suppose. *reserves judgment*

DanRad is a 17 year old playing a kid who's 15. They have 20-something people play that age normally.

Exactly, well the last point. I'm sure most of you have seen or at least heard of Mean Girls. Rachel McAdams was 26 when she played the 17 year-old Regina.

Did you not read the "I guess it happens all the time"? There was an article about the subject in my school newspaper and I'm on the paper's staff. So yeah I know, I just didn't want HP to follow the same trend.

Personally, I think that Emma is too much "herself" now in the films. I suppose it is partially the screen writer and costume designer's fault, but it makes me mad. Hermione would never say, "Is that really what my hair looks like from the back?" I thought the first two movies were excellent.
The only one of them that is seemingly in character is Rupert Grint. I really don't care how old he gets as long as he stays around. I wouldn't care about Dan and Emma.

Rupert's definitely his character. When they were supposed to write an essay about their characters he didn't do it, typical Ron. I think he's really good for the part, Dan's a bit less so, and Emma's a bit less so than Dan. It'll be interesting to see Dan get mad in ootp.

I definitely agree with you. Considering this was the book that made me hate Harry, I really want to be able to feel the anger and annoyance. I mean, Dan was a good actor in the first two movies. He could pull this off. He's just being lazy.
Oh, gosh... like in PoA when he was "crying". Pathetic... Sorry to all those Dan fan's, by the way! I feel mean.

I love Dan, but I agree it will be really funny to see him go completely loony.
Yeah, Emma bugs me quite a bit...after the third movie...she annunciates her words WAAAAAYYY too much...and personally, I don't think she's a brilliant actress. Rupert is the most in character, I agree.

I love "I'M ANGRY IM GONNA SPEAK IN CAPSLOCK GRRR D: < < < < <" Harry.
CAPSLOCK DANEIL RADCLIFFE will be all that more interesting.

I suppose. I just hope Dan will be good. Did any of you see Teen Vogue--or at least go to www.mugglenet.com, like I did? Only Dan and Emma were on the cover! I was mad! What about Rupert? And everyone was saying Emma looked so pretty, but her hair was messed...

You've got a good point, where is Rupert? It looks like Emma has way too much makeup on.

Yeah, I agree with the whole makeup thing. I mean, yeah, I guess Emma is pretty, but I don't think she's stunning. And especially with that ugly hairstyle and that ugly cupcake-like dress.
