Really? I thought Voldemort killed the Prewetts.
Hagrid says in book one: "....and he killed some o' the best witches and wizards of the age - The McKinnons, the Bones, the Prewetts -"
Though that could also mean he just ordered their deaths.

OotP said that Dolohov specifically killed Fabian and Gideon. In the Daily Prophet article I believe.

In OOTP during the dinner after Ron and Hermy become prefect Mad eye shows Harry the Order picture and says "It took five death eaters to kill him [Fabian] and his brother Gideon, they fought like heroes."

I knew the "last enemy to be conquered is death" quote was soooo familiar. I feel dumb that I didn't make the connection now.
I didn't make a lot of connections. Gregorovitch, Aberforth... missed them completely. Also, when Harry suddenly remembered that he'd seen the diadem before I was totally lost. It was like, "he remembered putting it on top of a wig on an ugly statue" and I was like, "wtf?! when was this!!" It was a really good job of JKR tying in a seemingly random part of HBP, though.

As soon as Harry recalled where he'd seen the diadem before I remembered, but before that I didn't know where/what it was. I knew it was the horcrux though, soon as I saw Xeno's imitation.
