I thought J.K Rowling just saw a prop which she said would be useful for Deathly Hallows. It might have been an object not used in OOTP.

I still find it hard to believe that a series of props was put together looking so very like the sign of the Deathly Hallows and was after all just a coincidence.
And at the time of ootp Dumbledore didn't have all 3 hallows, he had the wand, he could've asked Harry if he could borrow the cloak, but he didn't have the stone yet.

I still find it hard to believe that a series of props was put together looking so very like the sign of the Deathly Hallows and was after all just a coincidence. yeah...it's kinda creepy because it really does look very similar Another foreshadowing in the third movie: when Harry thinks that Sirius betrayed his parents, and he yells out something like "HE WAS THEIR FRIEND AND HE BETRAYED THEM!,"only Hermione comes close to him while Ron stays really far back away from him... it's not exactly foreshadowing but Ron does sort of betray them in DH..
