This is just because I'm heavier and more difficult to free using physical means. YOU'RE SO HURTFUL (kidding ) Okay, so which rocks are you attempting to clear? The ones at the base of the cliff? Aster releases you-know-who's lever. Roll. (Sam is a silly goose.)

Yes, rocks at base of cliff. Assuming I'm level two, I've got 5 ranks in jump, plus my 2 from Dex (You want full stats, I'll give 'em to you.) +7 to my roll. *rolls d20* 17. +7. 24.

All right. You never asked for specification how far the rocks went from the base of the cliff, you realize.

I made the jump before. Have I succeeded?

... yes.
Okay, you and you-know-who are hurtling towards the open water at an alarming rate.
Didn't you roll something amazing before to get you out of this one?
And I'm still a-dangling.

Reflex save to catch. I'll also need a swim check after I hit.
Reflex...base save =....+2. Dex bouns of +2 = a total of +4. +4 to my roll. I roll 12.
16 total.

I wouldn't be wearing armor, I'm a rogue. So no armor penalty. Tsurki's got a +1 on the strength. So, assuming untrained, I have a +1 to this roll. This is to keep the two of us afloat. ... Oh, salsa. I rolled a 4, +1 =5.

TSURKI'S DEAD GET OVER IT We're talking about you now. You attempt to swim. You-know-who is holding onto you tightly. The ropes around her arms have broken, but they're still binding her legs, so she can't swim very well. The two of you sink lower into the water, despite your efforts to keep afloat. (Yes it is, Tyler

Pressing your lips together tightly in determination (as well as to prevent water from entering your mouth), you look upward towards the surface of the water. You can see the sun sifting weakly through the muddy, polluted waters. You feel you-know-who's grasp loosen as you make a stroke upwards. After making sure she's still holding on, you make another stroke. And another. Darkness nibbles at the corner of your sight, and you become dizzy from lack of air. Desperately you attempt to swim, but just as you are nearing the surface, you black out (note I didn't say faint ). You see nothing, you hear nothing, and all you feel is the slimy water, you-know-who's hands, and another pair of hands, grabbing at your shoulders.

Well...what's happening, now that I'm blacked out?

Meanwhile, back at the ranch... (TISM!) (and ASoUE)
I am still dangling. Aster is having her afternoon tea.
You slip into consciousness. Your ears are ringing from the ordeal, and the air you're breathing is warm. You can feel the sun on your face.
Can you tell I'm making this up as I go?

Yup. But I've done that with a lot of mine, too.
I look around for you-know-who.
