my first poll (i know it sucks). Anyways, I think this movie will not have the same feeling as the book does. Carrey doesn't have that evil Count Olaf thing going but instead has comedy (hes still going to be great ). I cant really picture Olaf as a comedic person. They might give too much of a starring role to Carrey, and not enough to the Baudelaires. I kinda have mixed feelings since the movie looks like its really decent but it seems to be a very vague version of the book. With Carrey, this movie is going to be a smash (box office wise). Is the movie going to turn into a really bad version of the book or is going to be a weird kind of comparable-to-the-book thing?

I voted excellent. The very fact that it's Lemony Snicket puts it above watchable.

Ahahaha "I'd rather watch PBS." Harsh.
I put "below expectations," but then I remembered that my expectations are pretty low; so if it's bad, I won't be surprised, and if it's good, I'll be pleasantly surprised. I should have voted something else. I'm putting "watchable" instead, disregard my vote.
Also, re the "OMG BIG BUDGET MUST BE GOOD" reasoning: Waterworld had a budget of one hundred eighty million dollars. Oh yeah, that sure helped a lot.

Okay, so Im talking without thinking agian. lol. Yeah, Waterworld sucked. It was more like a bed time story than an adventure movie because I fell asleep when I was in the theater. But I wasnt too old then, either.

Actually, if you're talking about falling asleep in the theater, A Cure for Insomnia was 85 hours long. It was made in 1987 or something.

I voted Excellent, because the sets and costumes look just smashing. Even if the film isn't too good, at least it will be nice to look at. I haven't abandoned all hope quite yet.

yeah, sure you can! Makinga movei is a hard thing to do, but witha budget in the millions, youve got it made. Trust me, I know, my dads a movie director (working with low budgets right now, working his way up). This movie has a budget of a ways over 100 mil. I imagine most of it went into casting the actors (look at them, all those bif actors in this movie!), sets (w00t) and those awesome costumes(w00t2)!
Alright cyas later! getting late!

true, you have a point. I mean, they must've paid 100 million just to get Jim Carrey.
