On page 65 of TCC, Lemony describes Colette as a tall skinny woman with curly hair. It fits the picture of the woman with her face encircled in LSUA on page 142. Also, on page 178 she twists herself into the letters K and S.
There are also a few other things that I have noticed: 1. In page 75, there's someone who looks like Stephano and a person who is wearing a Lemony style hat with his face obscured by someone's arm. 2. In page 147, there are quite a few things from the series in the drawing: a telegram, which I suspect is the one the Baudelaires sent to Mr. Poe, a menu for Cafe Salmonella, a ticket to the Prospero, a TDP article about Lemony, a picture of Lemony and what looked very much like the VFD transcript in LSUA. 3. I suspect that Madame Lulu is the woman in the picture on page 105 of LSUA.
Please don't kill me if you knew all this before.

Good research, but I'm not sure of your theory. When Lemony said he was going north--to the mountains--to find K, Colette was still at the carnival. Somehow it just doesn't make sense, unless Lemony was deliberately concealing the fact that Colette was his sister. About the KS contortion, I think it's a red herring. An anatomically impossible red herring.

Yeah, I agree with Tocuna, that was really good research, and I give you a thumbs up ;D but it just doesn't fit. I figured that it must be a red herring. :-/Sorry, 'bout all that work you did.........but at the start it did seem like K was Colette, so she could spy on the troupe.....

Thanks. I thought I was going to be called a really cool member and deleted from the forum. So far, no one has called me one yet.
I think it was in the beginning of the third chapter that said that one of Lemony's family betrayed him. So maybe K went over to Olaf's side for real.

I think Lemony was referring to Olaf there, because Olaf seems to be his cousin. The family tree in the autobio supports this, as does Jacques's eyebrow oddity.

I wonder why Jacques didn't just pluck or wax his eyebrows. It would have saved his life. Besides unibrows don't look good.

Perhaps Jacques was on the run and had no time to shave. Maybe he lost his disguise kit. Plus, plucking your eyebrows hurts a lot. I tried it once.

She folded herself into the letters K and S? Really?

It said something like "she folded her body to look like the letter K and the letter S at the same time". *Tries to do so* Ow! My legs! My arms! My solar plexus! It's impossible, as far as I can tell. But then again, I'm not Colette.

But Colette was one of those bendable people. You aren't.

yes she was a contortionist, am i the only one to have noticed, (i did a seach on this and found nothing) that the tree is the alphabet, working from the A on the left to O on the right, its the big letters left- right then smaller letters aboue it left to right. this is really odd, might be a coincidence but i doubt it, itmight be a tree of VFD, but this still makes no sense, the nxt ones to be recruited would be P or Q and hey Quigly!!!!! so i think Quigly is going to be recruited before the end of the books. sorry if this is in the wrong place i couldnt find anywhere to put it.
