Okay I have something I'm confused about. In the autobiography, why are a lot of the people little kids? And why are the pictures all old and in black and white? Does this whole series take place in the past?? The picture with "Count Olaf" in front of the snowman looks like him younger.....is this in the past? I'm confused....

The part I find most confusing is the picture of "Gustav Sebald", working on a snowman. He looks at most seven years old. That's just weird and eerie. Olaf, in the picture with the snowman, is most likely wearing makeup to seem young. Zombies in the Snow was filmed after the Baudelaire fire, or so it seems. *expression of great bewilderment*

Maybe Lemony is stressing the fact that it was a long time ago

that part takes place when lemony , K and all the older people are youngsters in VFD barely past being preschoolers like the song in the bio says lemony was taken when he was a baby ,long before the bauds are born

Hey, maybe this Olaf in the play Zombies in the Snow is Count Olaf's SON!! Get out your autobiographies and turn to page 168. It says an old count had a son!!! I bet Count Olaf really does have a son.

If you very carefully at the picture of the snowman and Gustav you can just make out a foot behind the snowman. Do you think that is the real Gustav?

I don't think I'm seeing it, but I'll take your word for that. Where did you see the foot exactly? Anyway, if Gustav is behind the snowman, the child must be a VFD neophyte. Perhaps it's one of the kids in the "forest scene" with the ceramic lawn deer on the frozen lake.

It's not clear if he did, but he might have taken some of them. They were probably taken by his associates. Sally doesn't make it clear.
