i found this on an MCR site.
Two Months Ago...
Duncan and Quigley, the vampire kings of Scream and Run Awayville sit upon their respective thrones of power in control of the lands that surround them. Sunny, the only surviving human, while thankful that she is allowed to live, loathes the fact that she is kept in servitude to his inhuman lords. Using only ashes, leaves, and a pile of out-dated modems, Sunny is able to construct a crude IP network and sends an electronic message-in-a-bottle to someone, anyone who might be able to rescue her and dethrone the evil that has engulfed his homeland.
That someone was the esteemed Dr. Van Helsing, the esteemed scholar that defeated Count Olaf, the most powerful vampire that ever existed. Setting out for Scream and Run Awayville, the brave Dr. Helsing gathered what weapons he had against vampire-kind and set out to vanquish the evil that had settled upon that land.
But the two vampire kings were not fools; they had learned of Sunny's plea for help through the use of a very nasty spyware code. Upon this discovery, they threw her into the darkest dungeon, and prepared for the confrontation with Helsing.
The Doctor arrived, and did battle with the two. Not only did physical battle occur between them, but also a battle of wits was fought. During this time, Van Helsing learned much about this new breed of vampire -- tactics, strategy, delicious soup recipes. Eventually however, Van Helsing was at his end, trapped upon the tall spire of the Baudelaire Mansion. Nearly at his end, Van Helsing unleashed a weapon of his he had been keeping until his most dire moment -- Silver Jeans.
He tore off his tattered leather pants, and relaxed into his comfortable denim.
"No!" shouted Quigley. "They're s-so COMFORTABLE!"
"And trendy!" lamented Duncan.
With a flash of light, and an unearthly shriek, the two had disappeared, forever banished to the ultimate land of despair -- Lousy Lane .
Van Helsing, having defeated the two, began his decent of the tower, meditating on what he had just learned. Sunny had obviously heard the great battle, and knew that Helsing had been victorious, as the signs of their defeat were blatantly evident. She called out for Helsing to release her but the Doctor, famished from the great battle, was too engaged in dwelling on the recipe for Crab Bisque he had learned; he was deaf to all things, save the gnawing of his hunger.
For weeks Sunny was left to feed upon rats and other such atrocities, until, eventually, she was located by crazed fans and set free.
The changes to the surrounding lands had already begun, Sunny noticed. The sun shined brighter, the grass was greener, and everything seemed to at last be returning to normal. However, Sunny was in no mood for happy bunnies and kittens. Helsing did not release her, and Sunny swore her revenge upon the Doctor.
For the next few days, she tracked him. During the nights, Sunny noticed strange changes in her, both mentally and physically. she became stronger when the sun was down, and was able to see quite well, despite the lingering darkness. And he had the strangest craving for fresh blood. Human blood.
Indeed, Sunny had become a vampire for some reason or another.
Eventually Sunny tracked the Doctor to a small village, not unlike what she had once called her own. During the night, she crept behind the home in which Helsing was bedded. One of the villagers had been kind enough to allow Helsing to spend the night, and was indeed listening to the Doctor spell out his tale of intrigue.
Sunny crept through the open window, desperate to feast upon the man she loathed. Startling the two, Sunny charged Helsing, but the brave Doctor was able to avoid the attack. Unfortunately, the villager wasn't so quick, Sunny in her blind rage, began to feast on the resident, thinking it was Helsing. The Doctor used this to his advantage, however, and quickly changed into his amazingly comfortable Silver Jeans.
Sunny was destroyed in the same manner as her two previous keepers, yet the size of the room condensed the effect of the sound and light, immediately knocking unconscious both the doctor and the villager.
When Helsing awoke, he was in the village square, with little memory of what had just occurred. He could remember his valuable knowledge against vampire-kind, and the fact that he had just destroyed another vampire, and that the villager he had just befriended was bitten, probably to the point where he would become one of the dark creatures, but he could not remember exactly who it was that was cursed to become one of them.
He stood to his feet, gazing around the village. It was almost dawn, so the hunt for the new vampire could not begin until the next few nights. However, much needed to be done to prepare the unsuspecting village for the trials that would follow...
Present Day; Circa 1835
The villagers, including the new vampire, gathered around Dr. Helsing.
"I am afraid that we have a vampire in our midst. These powerful creatures attack during the night, thirsty for our blood. Considering my previous encounters with these demons, they usually hunt in pairs, so unfortunately, as of tomorrow morning, we shall have yet another.
Once the two form their unholy bond, they shall begin to feed upon us. We must be wary, and use wisdom in our choices, but we must destroy the foul beast before there are none of us remaining. This means that we must choose one individual to die each daybreak, by stake-through-heart, to determine if they are indeed vampire. We must be cautious in this, however, as we may mistakenly aid their evil cause by choosing wrongly.
During each night, I will assist one of you by affording you the only weapon I have remaining that may ward them off -- my stylish Silver Jeans. As for the rest of you, may you be so lucky as that fortune will spare you during the nights.
Now, I must be off, for I have much to prepare for the trials ahead. Godspeed to you all. Truly, Godspeed."
Rules
This game is played by voting off who you think is the vampire, There will be certain times you will need to message me to find out needed information, I will need to know some first names or nicknames of the ones wanting to play, everyone else should call you by that name to keep from confusion.
Everyone is a villager trying to stay alive, except the one original vampire and to be his or her accomplice. They must try their best to keep their identities secret. I would advise you not to pick your best friend on the forum if you are the vampire, but a random person.
Anyone who is a vampire cannot reveal that they are until they are staked, remember vampires, you do not want to be staked. Everyone will vote including vampires and excluding the people who take to long to post, don’t worry if you can’t get on for a while, because the game will still go on.
Post, if you want to play. I need at least 10 people for this game to be fun, but please, I'd like as many as possible.
Once everyone is ready to go, I will assign randomly the roles needed:
1 Vampire to start off, do not reveal identity
1 Seer to dream about a villager of their choosing each night, do not reveal identity
1 Dr. Van Helsing (gender doesn't matter) to protect one villager of their choice each night, do not reveal identity
The first night, the original vampire will message me and tell who they want as their partner vampire. From the second night on, the game will commence as it should, with the two vampires messaging me their choice for feeding, the Seer messaging me the villager they are dreaming of, and Dr. Helsing messaging me the name of the villager they want to protect (Note* Dr. Helsing can be greedy and keep the jeans for him or herself, thereby staying alive).
The seer: the seer will tell me who they dreamed about and I will simply message back weather that person is or isn’t a vampire, and the seer has to convince the rest of the villagers without revealing that they are the seer.
Each morning, it will be revealed who was killed, if anyone was protected, and the Seer will know what he or she dreamed about. Then the fun part begins -- the villagers will vote on the person who they think is the Vampire. That person will then be staked through the heart, and we will see if they turn to ashes, or the bloody, bloody remains of an innocent villager, who will no longer enjoy the subtlety of life.
I, of course, will not be playing a role, as I am MCing this game, however, anyone else is welcome.
This is the posting guide:
Votes go in boldface.
Dead people post in italics.
Non-players post in color.
If you’re in, just say I’m in, If you have questions ask. I will announce when the game begins and who the players are.
