J: Barnes and Noble, when my mum is willing to drive to--
C: Don't say anything.
J: I won't. But now I'm getting more books from the library since I could walk up there, though I can also walk up to two bookstores, but they're small and obsolete and I'd rather get free library books than the bad ones htey have at the ickle bookstores.

I get mine from a small bookstore, I guess...
Although if they're books that I really like, I usually order them online. I don't want to wait 3 months longer than everyone on 667 to get The Grim Grotto...

Barnes and Noble or Borders. Depends on where we are.

T: I get mine from Borders, or Barnes and Noble. However, at times I've ordered them online. I also get them as gifts from all my reasonably close kinfolk.
C: It's only a matter of time before her bedroom resembles The Library of Congress, only less tidy.
T: Hey! I just cleaned my room.

A: I like owning books, because it's nice... but I get most of my books from either a) My dad's office (he's an english professor)
P: Yeah, and then they sit around the whole time because you never get around to reading them.
A: True, but having "Literary Criticism, from Plato to Dryden" on my bookshelf looks pretty nifty. Mind you, I often get a lot of books forced upon me that way. Thankfully, no self-help "how to have a good relationship with your father" books, eh, Dark? Then there's b) which is the huge bookstore (independant canadian prairie chain) called McNally Robinson, which is, I guess, the Canadian equivalent of Barnes and Nobles or Borders or something, which means I usually read them, either really quickly after I buy them, or they lay around forever.
P: True, but most of those aren't yours. They're just your brother's that you forced him to buy if only so you could read them.
A: Well, yeah, and I like the store. They used to have an extremely attractive waiter at the bistro.
P: Quiet you.
A: The only way I'm guaranteed to read a book quickly is if I get it at c) The library or a secondhand mystery bookstore we have quite close to us. Once I buy new books I go, "meh. I've got lots of time". As a result, half of the books on my bookshelf are owned by me, but not yet read, simply because they'll always be there so there's no sense of urgency.
P: Actually, you're a terrible reader and it takes you forever to finish a book.
A: Unless it's good... or really really bad.
P: Quiet, you.

Waldenbooks. I'd like to get more of them from B+N, but there aren't any close to where I live.
Dave, I'll bet we shop at the same Waldenbooks, eh? (For those of you thinking I'm an idiot, we both live in southern Indiana)

1-The library. I love owning books, but usually just save up for CDs. 2-This bookstore at the mall. They have really cheap books that I've never seen anywhere else. It was where I bought "Watch Your Mouth", by randomly stumbling across it, and thus, it is forever in my heart. Plus, I usually have just enough money left over from buying whatever CD that I can buy a book too. And that is what we call the best of both worlds. 3-Half-Price Book Store. Note the fact I really like not spending a lot of money. Plus, they have nifty 90's CDs for $8. 4-Borders, though I usually just get CDs there. 5-I miss living close to a B&N. I used to go there all the time and ride up and down the elevator while I skimmed books [/dork] 6-Borrowing them would be nice, but usually, I'm the one lending out. My friends either read sucky books, or the ones they borrow from me. Usually, it'd seem like I'm just being arrogant, but honestly. I lent Tom Perrotta's "Election" to my friend Samatha, and she offered to lend me one of her taudry vampiric-sex books.
