667 Street-The Best Thing Since Sliced Bread by George[/i]
EPISODE THREE
A/N: Trish, Shelley IS cool.
“I guess you’re missing work today then?” Aimee mused, circling the edge of her coffee glass with her finger. “I think I might take a day or two off,” Kimia said with a smile,” I just can’t believe I’m actually sitting here today.” “I just can’t believe you were on Witness Protection,” Aimee replied,” Well, at least it’s all over now. The man fell from the building-he’s dead.” Kimia frowned. “He’s just in intensive care,,” she said, then sighed,” I don’t know if I WANT him to die though-I want him to go to jail defiantly-for life but-“ “He won’t get a life sentence,” Aimee interrupted,” He didn’t actually kill anyone.” “THAT we don’t know,” Kimia replied,” James is also in intensive care.” “But the man was just fighting with him,” Aimee said,” He didn’t purposely do that.” “Ah,” Kimia said,” But I can say he did. James, clasping on to anything near to stay up, grabbed the man, and pulled him down-by accident.” “But that’s lying,” Aimee pointed out. “A white lie though,” Kimia replied. Aimee sighed. “Frankly, I think you should just tell the truth-if he lives, and it goes to court,” she said,” Besides-James isn’t dead.” “I guess so,” Kimia said, shrugging it off,” But I’ll do anything to see that man go down. Anything.”
Kate walked across the road to Undieneath It All, when she felt someone tap her shoulder. She turned, to see Zach facing her, and gave a bitter sigh. “Oh God…not you,” she said. “Hey, hey,” Zach said, all innocent,” I’m you’re boss-we have to talk a lot, don’t we?” “Yes,” Kate agreed,” But not about the fact we slept together-it’s history-it’s stupid.” “You enjoyed it,” Zach said. Kate growled. “Look…I’ll talk, if you have anything to say that’s worth me bothering to listen,” she said. “Fine then Kate,” Zach said,” Even though you hated it or whatever, we still need to talk about it-“ “No really!” Kate said,” We don’t-forget it! I don’t love you-you’re living a dream here!” “Sure you don’t love me?” Zach said, and planted a kiss on her. She pulled away quickly, and swung her hand forward, slapping him hard on the cheek. “Forget it Zach!” she said, and strode off across the cobbles, rubbing his cheek. “Ashley!” Tiffany cried, running down the street. Ashley’s head-layered with dark hair, turned to her. “Oh, hey Tiffany,” she said,” What’s the problem?” “Not much really…just thought we could chat,” Tiffany said. “Yeah, okay,” Ashley replied,” I was just popping down to the corner shop-not really.” “Well we can walk AND chat at the same time can’t we?” Tiffany asked, as they started,” After all, we’re women!” They both gave a small chuckle, and continued to make their way down the street. “Did you see the news about Kimia and James?” Ashley asked,” Yesterday?” “Oh…no,” Tiffany said,” Me and Whitney were away helping our mum-she’s sick. So…what happened?” “Kimia was held hostage and turned out to be on Witness Protection…James saved her, but then was hurled out of the window himself.” Ashley replied. “Good God woman!” Tiffany cried,” And…you saw this?” “No…I arrived a bit late,” Ashley said,” But there sure was a large crowd when I arrived-Kimia looking all shaken, and James lying on the floor with blood around him with the kidnapper-who fell out too.” Tiffany’s eyes widened. “James?” she asked. “Yes,” Ashley replied,” You know-Whitney’s boyfriend.” “I know,” Tiffany said, then turned around,” Gotta go. Bye!” She ran in the opposite direction, leaving Ashley outside the Corner Shop. “Bye…” she muttered.
“The delivery’s late,” Zach growled. “Yes,” Kate agreed,” Well it’s good that it is, I guess, because SOMEONE who needed to sign the forms wasn’t here…and was still in bed.” “At least you’re remembering it,” Zach said, and gave a wink,” Uh…Kate, take your lunch break, okay?” “Fine,” she said, giving a small shrug, and walked out of the office. He looked down at forms left on the desk, and scanned them quickly. “Um…Sir,” came a voice behind him. Zach turned to see Lauren in the doorway. “Oh…hello Lauren,” he said,” What do you want?” “Well…I was just wondering…” Lauren snarled, her voice all kind and innocent. She then walked over to him. “Why the hell you were kissing your PA?” she snarled. Zach turned to her, face wide with surprise. “How…how do you know?” he asked. “Because you were doing it right in front of me!” Lauren cried,” I was just coming from the bathroom-might want to hide business like that somewhere else…somewhere more private.” Zach stood up, and turned to her. “Well don’t you dare tell anyone,” he snarled at her. “And why not?” Lauren asked,” Besides…I’ve already told everyone on the streets.” She giggled. “You’ll die!” Zach cried, shoving her back onto the floor. She gave a small squeal as she fell, and then pulled herself up. “I was joking you retard!” she cried,” But perhaps I should tell now!” She turned around, and headed for the door. “No! Lauren! Don’t!” Zach demanded, standing up. “Why not?” she cried. “Or you’re fired!” Zach shouted to her. She turned. “I’m still telling,” she said,” Unless you do something for me.” “What?” he asked. “Sack Kate,” she said. “I can’t do that!” Zach cried,” Give me time.” “By the time we leave work,” Lauren said,” Or your little secret is out-boss kissing PA…you could both get sacked. Bye.” With that, she left. Zach put his head in his hands, and sat quietly.
Tiffany knocked on the door. “Who is it?” he sister replied from inside. “Tiffany,” she said. “Come in then,” Whitney said. Tiffany opened her sister’s bedroom door, and walked in. Whitney was sitting on the bed, reading a magazine. “Hey…what do you want?” she asked. “Well…I have something kind of important to say,” he voice trailed on,” Have you seen James since we arrived back?” “No…I’m going to call him in a few minutes,” Whitney replied. “Don’t.” “Why not?” “Because he won’t be in,” Tiffany replied. “Well…how do you know that?” Whitney asked. “Because he’s in intensive care,” Tiffany replied. Whitney stared at her-white in shock. “W-what?” she asked. “He fell from a first floor window,” she said,” Saving Kimia.”
Zach walked through into the main room of the factory, where everyone was away in work. The sounds of the doors opening sounded, and Zach turned to see Kate. He heart pounded heavily, and he gulped. He couldn’t do this-he couldn’t fire her. Could he? It was either this or both losing their jobs. He kept thinking, and decided that they’d both go down together. He’d let Lauren tell everyone. “Hello Kate,” he said. She gave him a look. “Hi,” she said quietly, and walked past him. He looked at Lauren as Kate walked into the office. She mouthed out the words ‘don’t forget’ to him. He shook his head and Lauren gave a confused look back at him. She shrugged, and smiled, obviously thinking he meant that he wouldn’t forget.
Whitney entered the hospital room. As soon as she had found out from Tiffany, she had driven over, and rushed through the halls to find James. Now, there he was in front of her, attached to so many wires, and she felt like crying and running away. He had no blood pouring from him, and Whitney could see the steady rise and fall of his chest, but it felt to her as if he were already dead. “Don’t be too alarmed by all the equipment,” a nurse said, standing behind her,” It’s for his safety.” Whitney nodded, and then she felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned, and saw Tiffany there, giving her a small smile. “Do you want to be alone?” she asked. Whitney nodded. “Yes please…” Tiffany nodded, and left with the nurse. Whitney was alone. She walked along the room, and sat at a small stool by the side of the hospital bed, breathing heavily and sweat trickling down her forehead. “Hello James,” she said, closing her eyes, and slipping her hand underneath his. She could here his voice in her mind replying, “Hello Whitney,” and then giving her a kiss on the cheek. But he didn’t, and at first, Whitney felt startled about it, until she opened her eyes again, and saw him half dead on the bed, and realized he may never do it again.
Kate left the building, her long coat around. There was another day gone…the delivery hadn’t yet come. Not that it mattered to her anyway. She decided to stop off for a newspaper down at the corner stop before heading home, so turned right at the next turn. Ss she did, she heard the rest of the factory girls walking out. The footsteps were slow and paced as always-Ann, Lauren, Aimee-no Kimia today after the previous day’s events. But some seemed faster then others, and before she could hear much more, Kate felt a hand on her back, and she turned, alarmed. It was Lauren, giving a small frown that seemed very fake. “I’m so sorry,” she said. Kate widened her eyes up. “Eh?” she asked. “About losing your job,” Lauren said,” I didn’t expect it.” “Thanks for that,” Kate said,” But I HAVEN’T lost my job…I’m coming here to be Zach’s PA tomorrow…like I always do.” “But you’re sacked!” Lauren hissed. “I’d like to hear that from Zach before I believe it,” Kate confessed. Lauren’s eyes narrowed. “So…you’ve not been fired?” Lauren asked. “Nope,” Kate said, rolling her eyes, and turning around. She started walking,” I don’t know why you’d think I was.” “Well done for saving Kimia from that man,” Whitney said, holding in tears,” You’re a hero James. You really are. But you deserved more then this…you deserved more then to be shoved out of a window.” She looked over at his closed eyes. “Please wake up,” she muttered,” Please…come round. Open your eyes…please James…please.”

Lauren ran and caught up with Kate. “Well…you should be sacked,” she said. Kate stopped, and turned her head to her. “Oh really?” she asked,” And why is that?” “Because you’re having an intimate relationship with your boss!” she shouted. Ann and Aimee stopped behind them, sniggering and gasping. Several people walking down the street heard it-Kimia, who was taking a breath of fresh air from being cooped up indoors all day, as well as Ashley and Jess. “What?” Kate asked. “I saw you two kissing!” Lauren cried,” A couple of days ago!” “You must be mistaken,” Kate said,” I have done no such thing.” “Don’t lie to me!” Lauren said,” I’m right, and I won’t look a fool!” Kate let out a small chuckle-it only lasted for a fraction of a second. “If you don’t want to look like a fool, then you should shut this crap now,” she laughed, and started walking again. “I will not look stupid in front of liars like you!” Lauren cried, and lunged forward to Kate, grabbing her hair. Kate screamed quietly, and reached back, grabbed Lauren’s face. They both started tugging, until Lauren broke free, and twisted around so that they were facing each other. Kate then shoved her hand forward and slapped her round the face, making her let go, then moved back, and started heading away. “Aw…we wanted more fighting!” Ann cried. “I wouldn’t worry,” Lauren said, walking towards Kate,” This little magee won’t get away with that!” She then ran and grabbed Kate’s hair from behind. Kate gave a shout, and then ducked, pulling herself from Lauren’s grasp. She then bounced up again, and lunged her whole body at Lauren, shoulder first. Lauren bounded to the floor, and pulled Kate with her. They both landed on their side, before they found themselves grabbing at each other, rolling around. Kate tried to get free from it, but Lauren then stopped the rolling when she was on top of her, and made her hand into a fist. She whacked it down, and punched Lauren in the face. She stood up then, and continued walking down the street, leaving Kate’s dazed body on the floor. “Nobody makes a fool of me!” she cried, walking away. “Oh God!” Kimia cried, running across the road to Kate on the other side. She kneeled down beside her. “Kate? Are you okay?” Kate lifted her head up. “Yeah,” she said, picking the rest of her body up,” Someone here’s got problems though.” “What was it all about anyway?” Kimia asked. “Oh nothing,” Kate said,” Just Lauren having a mood swing. “It’s ‘cause Kate and Zach were kissing!” Aimee cried from behind. Kimia chuckled. “Heh…really?” Kate started walking round the corner. “Yes-I kissed Zach!” she cried, and ran off.

Haha, that is so good! I like the fact that again everyone and everything is mixing, like real soaps. And I can just imagine Kate and Lauren as Gail and Eileen in the magee fight, haha! Thanks for including me in most stuff, it's really nice reading it Well done again, George

I'm someone's (Clem's?) aged mother? Am I that old? Or did I just get knocked up at a young age. Please explain. It's awesome! I love 667 soaps... they're so... soapy! You write very well, and I'll try to keep up with this.
